STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

He looked like he could have squatted more, made it look easy.

Serious question though, is it safe to arch your back like that on bench? Is this just a tactic to avoid going further down?

it’s safe and also a tactic to reduce the range of motion.

Found my new sport after I’m done powerlifting

What are some good sites to order a belt from I feel like it’s time to invest in a belt for when I squat and deadlifts especially when trying to hit big numbers

Pioneer Belt: https://a7.co/collections/ipf-appro...rong-belt-ipf-approved?variant=13831432667245

SBD: https://www.sbd-usa.com/product/sbd-belt/

I have both. Pioneer to squat. SBD to deadlift in. both have their pros and cons.

those are my recommendation. SBD only if you're willing to drop the $$$.
13MM only. 10MM is for ppl built like sticks.

Does the job

What’s the best way to determine which size to get

there’s a size chart on both website

the sbd lever belt have 1 in increments while the A7 Pioneer has a 0.5 in increment so the A7 belt can fit more accurate. But since it’s a prong belt it can be a ***** to get on

I actually wouldn't grab the SBD belt off rip.

1) Wearing that belt tells folks you lift. If you cop but aren't really about that life, you're gonna look silly (at least you would at my gym).

2) The SBD belt is expensive. A Pioneer (or similar) would do the same thing for half (or more of the price).

3) Depending on what your size is, you might have to wait for the SBD to arrive. The US site for SBD was sold out of the size I needed so I spent more cash to get one shipped from Singapore (cost $300+).

4) @ Beruseruku Desu Beruseruku Desu Josh said he pulls in his but I find it very uncomfortable for deadlifts and only use it for squats and front squats. Ofc I am built like a stick and carry at least 3 belts in my gym bag at all times, so YMMV.

Just my 0.02.

Yea I agree. SBD only if you’re very serious about lifting. There’s a lot of ppl who can’t pull or even squat in their SBD belt because they feel like it gets in the way. **** is built thicker than a bowl of oatmeal

with that said I be feeling like a badass when unflick my sbd belt after a set. Dis be me:

If I can't lift it in the SBD, I cannot lift it. Period.

Inzer been around the belt game forever. Good stuff without super high price tag.

Strengthop USA also has quality belts for a fraction of the price. Very happy with mine. I have the 13mm lever belt.

Got an Inzer Forever 13mm lever (heavy squats) and a StrengthShop USA 10mm synthetic lever (light squats, deads, any bench) in the rotation as well. :smh:

I’m about to cop some adjustable dumbbells. I can’t hope for gyms to open soon and then possibly deal with COVID once they do open.

I slept the wrong way and now my neck hurts like ****. Can’t even turn my head without having major pain :smh:

I've literally pulled a back muscle sleeping before. Had me out for two weeks. I didn't believe it was possible but trainer said that's what most likely happened.

Competitive athlete my whole life and never suffered a muscle injury on the field. Pull a muscle in my sleep though. :smh:
