Any way to get some o the creases off? I remember someone a while back, not sure what thread, said there was an ironing method? Anyone tried it?

apparently using an iron with a paper bag over the leather works... never tried it though.

Lemme get up on my soap box for a second here about this retro business...
I seriously think that these retros would be the nail in the coffin of air force 1s. When nikes gets word of hype around a shoe or specific versions of a shoe,they try to cash and almost always ruin it. It's true...
Here's a thought: Why retro older colors, when they can just make new simple colors? Its not rocket science...
Its elementary...take a black or white base color (with tumbled leather ofcourse) and then add any @#$%ing color for theswoosh: white, red, blue, magenta. Then make the sole color correspond with the swoosh or make it a gum sole if the swoosh color is more of an earthtone.
Honestly, who do they pay to do colorblocking? I want names. Some fool just sits down and probably points randomly to swatches...hmmm, brown, pink, purple,clear sole, this will be a supreme release, let's call it "rare" oh and brown, pink, purple doesn't sound rare, so let's put"Tobacco/ Flamingo- Midnight Eggplant" on the box label
If you want help Nike, I'll sit down for 10 minutes and I can create a years worth of colorways for you.

You have to put a warm, damp cloth between the iron and the surface of the leather. Paper is a definite no-no for obvious reasons.

Agreed on this - you have cats like 'Clark Kent' throwing every possible colour under the sun on releases. The thing is that Nike doesmake simpler colours, but they put it on the 'Basic' AF1s aka the GR stuff.Originally Posted by OGfiend

In my personal opinion they should hang the person responsible for the tiering. Now we have 'Basic' AF1s which are utter trash, 'Premium' AF1swhich are few and far between and hit or miss with colour-blocking not to mention over-priced as well. Lastly the 'Supreme' AF1s are essentially madewith the same grade of materials as the older (pre-'02) materials but have awful 'Vis-Air' units on the heel and clear midsoles to justify theinsane prices.

. Someone needs to hang the person responsible for every single Livestrong AF1. I know it's fora charity but damn they screwed those all up. Including the cartoons. Whose the dude responsible for those all purple joints and the black sparkly highs withthe red? All this crap is dumb ugly. Those visible air unite have always been a no go for me too.

Wow dude those are fresh. And by the looks of it you entire collection is probably insane! All those OG boxes. I think we have cats here in this thread likeyou, SpaceJ, kazi and kevin that have better collections than those two clowns CK and mayor. Maybe not in numbers or even value. But in quality of goodleathers and dope colorways. I am humbled to post on here sometimes with the pictures that you and SpaceJ post sometimes. These are air forces that have beentaken care of but at the same time just daily/basic sneakers for cats in the 80s and 90s. These things gave memories of older cats. Perhaps uncles or oldercousins maybe even our dads.

from seeing snippets of CK's collection and reading that interview, he is a dope dude and i bet he has a ton of crazy stories. his collection looks prettycrazy and he's given away more than i could dream of owning. some of his designs for nike have been terrible but he def knows his stuff. mayor'sdesigns on bespoke have been super duper nice. lots of the stuff he says is corny to me but it might be just how he is. seems like most of his collection isrecent stuff that i don't like but i never really watched his vids in detail. i think nike should give him a shot at designing some quikstrike orsomething.

Indeed. Clark Kent and Mayor fully understand the history and inspiration of Air Force 1s. I've met with both of them and had detailed discussions aboutForces. With that said, they are just two individuals, who are not able to change Nike's path of quality retro issues. Even within Clarks designs, he islimited by Nike in what he is allowed to do and design.

CK deff knows his stuff in person. I had my small collection at Houston sneaker summit, while everyone looks at Crocs, YOTD, etc, he was the only person topickup cones and 99 College Hoops oranges and rave about them. Very cool guy too.
