I agree with Cris about being able to control and create your own colorways and yes it's simply because we can customize our own. This might be a far fetched comparison but if I was to get inked up, I for sure wouldn't just pick a standard piece off the wall, wouldn't you want something created just for you?Originally Posted by battleground03

quick question that prolly wont get answered because its not a shoe pic. Most of you seem to love the id program. For those that do, why? Is it simply because you can custom your own shoes? or is there more to it than that. And excuse my ignorance but are the numbers that are allowed to be made limited or is it just until they switch styles? Anyone that doesnt?
i think the "no one else" part is just a heart felt broad generalization that is basically true. Its not fake and jaded like all theJordan PE collectors who think they are getting something no one else has and truly beleive it, only to find out that there are multiple production dates andmany many people with them. I think the id program is both good and bad. But my opinion is just as valid as all of yours. So im just seeing how people feelabout it. Appreciate all the replies and responcesOriginally Posted by s dubl

I can speak for myself, and maybe some others Bubba, but its the fact that you are able to create your very own design, and the air max 1's that nike is putting out right now, are garbage. This gives me(us) the ability to design something to our liking rather than having to purchase some trash from nike. Atleast thats what I like about them....and some of the opitions given allow you to recreate some classics. Also gives you the ability to create something that "noone else will have"couple of designs out there are just too dope not to do.
hmmmm a black pair....brb!Originally Posted by s dubl

....i had to PS this idea, it was stuck in my head.
i agree with the ink comparison as someone who is blasted with ink. It should all be personal. Whether it is off the wall or a custom piece. But i think shoes can be personal to you off the wall. Look at the most sought after colorways. All GR simple colorways "straight off the walls, i mean straight off the sale racks!!!. But i hear ya sir and thanks for the reply.Originally Posted by BubbaEla1

Very true... I heared you could bring whatever material you wanted into the store and they would send it off to made into a classic slip on Ibelieve... Nice remembering that man, I had totally forgotten about that...Originally Posted by Stuntman Mike
actually, the first "ID" shoes that i heard of is back when you could bring swatches of your own material to the vans store and they would send it out to the factory and make your shoe for you. this was back in the 70's.
ahhh ok, it looked white. i think i'm just gonna have to risk it with this bone color and hope it comes out alright.Originally Posted by s dubl
