Dwight being the best center in the league means nothing in 2014 due to the fact there are only a handful of good centers in the league.

And that's Da Whites fault how? That'd be like saying PGs today are extremely overrated because they disallowed hand checking.

What????? How is that comparable?

Did I blame Dwight for it? My point was the position isn't what it use to be like it was back in the day.

Didn't think I said anything funny.

In reality it will come down to Parker/Wiggins/Noel but Payton is my sleeper pick.

Oh, my bad. I thought you were trolling everyone who said Payton would be ROY before the season and highlighting his poor performance. My apologies.

Pretty sure this was the year before when they lost to the Cs

Also, didn't Metta only win one ring with the Lakers? Ariza was the SF when the beat Orlando, correct?

You are right, sir. There was a whole lot of incorrectness in that post.

Crazy how Dwight used to be so loved. I mean his offense always been awful, but mannnnn, he seems cool.

When the hell was dwight loved? :lol

Homie was always hated starting from his fake christian persona

I remember when dwade was loved tho. His good guy poster boy act wore off quickly

I love kobe Bryant but if he's so tough, what happened here in 2009...

I'll tell you what happened, Ron went to the Lakers locker room afterwards and begged to be on the squad, two rings later ....

Just kidding, no one, and I mean NO ONE would try that dude, and that was before the whole Metta World Peace thing, back when he was just regular Ron "go up in the stands and clean house" Artest.

Why you gotta bring up old ****? :lol Touche' my friend. And allow me to add that he went in the shower while Kobe Bryant was gettin' fresh. :\ :lol

Dwight used to lead the league in AS votes. More than Lebron and Kobe a few times. After that dunk contest he was generally loved across the board.

Dwight can only shut people up if he is a legit, 25-10 guy at min. But he aint. Not evem close to Shaq. Forget thr nights where all etry passes went through Shaq. Not sure why Dwight works so much aesthetically on his muscles and not his foot work.

he was loved before he forced his way out of Orlando. During the superman dunk contest days, he led the league in all star votes a few yrs in a row.

All star voting. He was always near the top of the lists and getting LeBron and Kobe numbers in terms of votes. He used to be loved.

Three people making the same point :lol

I think Dwight was loved at first but now that he's older, people expected him to mature and when he didn't he started getting hated for the same reasons why he was loved

Dwight was loved? dude seems cool?

hes corny as hell and tries so hard to be funny and cool. hes a loser

i remember when he was a beast on the magic and didnt talk so much in the media and try to act like a clown. thats when i liked him and respected him. i really dislike him now by the way he acts

Dwight had a strong fan base after he glided in the dunk contest. Then he started hamming it up afterwards...the second dunk contest and everything beyond that did him in.

*I thought I was imaging things when Randle broke his leg but you can literally hear it pop as he goes up for the finish. That's crazy.

^No, you dislike him because he left the Lakers.........

Ill say this as a Laker fan, I didn't like him before he came off how he acted his last few seasons in Orlando.

I tolerated him as a Laker, hoped he would do good but since it didn't work, its back to how I felt before. Nothing extra though.

There's never been a player you don't like or are not a fan of who happens to play on a team you like, so you tolerate them while they play for your team?

I think ppl hate on Chalmers bc hes so confident in himself.  He's been clutch in every big game he's been in, in the 4th quarter that is

exactly even if i was a laker fan, read through my posts over the years you can see i hated dwight for quite awhile and way before he went to the Lakers.

dudes a cornball, id say the same damn thing if he was on the Lakers. i have no affiliation with that team nor do i care if they go 60-22 or 11-71. zyzz dont care, as long as Kobe is healthy.

VIDEO: NBA Commissioner Adam Silver talks about a possible midseason tourney (via @HowardBeck) http://ble.ac/1u7GEuJ

What the hell would be the point of a mid-season tournament in the NBA?

Spice things up. A short tournament for extra cash + a late 1st round pick would be cool. It also gives non-playoff teams a chance at playing "important" games and gives their fan bases a reason to care for a little bit. You don't think a short single-elimination tournament would be cool?

Figuring out a good time for it and format is the challenge though.
