The 2015 NBA Draft Thread: Draft Day Is Here

I loved the Wizards moves. I don't know about their second round pick but getting Oubre for 2 future second round picks was a hell of a move. Lottery talent, low risk high reward move. They get a young, long, super athlete who should fit very well with Wall, Beal, and Porter.

I think Delon Wright and Norman Powell are going to be great picks for the Raps too.

I agree, Rockets hopefully can address their PG situation with a veteran free agent

Dekker hopefully masters a midrange shot, I don't mind that pick at all for them off the bench

Kelly Oubre has star potential. But he’s got a lot to learn. Have to be patient. But if he puts in the work, could be a star.

Adam Bradley @ABradley5

So... I didn't realize Oubre is part of the @DrewHanlen @puresweat team. My perspective has now shifted. Seriously! Drew produces winners!

@ABradley5 You're going to LOVE Kelly. Hard worker, big time talent & good kid. Off-court swagger will calm down & he'll focus on ball!

Was told after workouts, Aaron White was 1 of top 4 players they saw. One team official pleasantly surprised #WizardsTalk #NBA @CSNWizards

Something else I pointed out last night: there seems to be some sort of connection with KD and Oubre. He posted him on Instagram before the draft.

What does Oubre do well that he can come in and help a playoff team right away?

Be better than Butler/Webster.

Bar ain't too high, bruh. :lol

Offense will come in due time...but he can certainly help with defense immediately. Can't wait to see him in Vegas.

Obvious reference to Oubre holding it down in DC until KD comes. Oubre is KD's future backup

I see way too much Jeremy lamb in oubre.. booker was the guy I wanted

But it makes sense with only 2 pgs on the roster and 1 of the two on 1 year deal.. maybe dj is trade bait before the deadline

What do you guys think about OKC's pick of Cam Payne, should they have gone with Oubre?
Rather have the playmaking ability of Payne. Good compliment to Russy and they can play together in stretches

Oubre is raw

Payne reminds me of a Darren Collison/Mike Conley type. Hopefully he'll be somewhere in between

Repped.

I like what I saw from some of his Youtube highlights but damn dude is super skinny, hope he doesn't get bullied.

Exactly.

That kid is not going to be a contributor this year.

It could just come down to dedication and drive. Oubre was foolin around when he got to Kansas but he picked it up to end the year

Seems like Oubre is very driven and motivated.. I don't know about Lamb. He seems just content

Oubre is obviously a talented guy.. but having had lamb and pj3 these last couple years..

I didn't want dude
