Ya know, Marvel hasn't exactly been following comic book storylines to a T....... I'm sure they could make a Civil War movie with just using the theme of it.

As far as Marvel animation....usually it is TERRIBLE. I cant think of why anybody would want to watch it smh. The Avengers cartoon was terrible. I can barely watch the "Hulk Vs" anymore. They would have to go in a completely different direction if they want a good Civil War cartoon

No it cannot be done. SpiderMan is the most famous hero to reveal himself. Who else are you going to have them reveal themselves? IronMan and Cap are already well known. Thor is a god so it doesn't matter. Black Widow or Hawkeye? These guys are spies, the general public doesn't know they exist and they don't even have powers. I mean seriously, SpiderMan revealing himself was one of the biggest events of the arc. Without him, you just have IronMan and Cap arguing.
Also, you'd take Hulk out of the entire Avengers film? You know the outrage and backfire that would get?
Then there's the addition of other heroes that would join each side. You can't just have a IronMan and Capt. America going at each other. You need Mr. Fantastic (built the Project 42 prison), Pym , Luke Cage, Falcon, Punisher, etc... These are key pieces in that story arc. I mean seriously, what would be the point of a Superhuman Registration Act if Cap and IronMan are the only heroes with superpower?

Disagree, Ultimate Avengers is pretty good, iirc it was a page for page adaptation of the comic book too. Ultimate Avengers 2 was decent. Invincible IronMan was good too. Planet Hulk and Tales of Asgard are pretty good too. Doc Strange was kind of boring but isn't bad, same with Hulk VS. I also like the animation styles of UA1 & 2, IronMan and Doc Strange, they aren't cartoon looking, they look more detailed and in-tuned with the comics.
DC stomps on them in animated films but their animation style is still too kid-#!$ at times, it has that WB/Animaniacs style to how it's drawn (although it has gotten a lot better in the latest films).

With Hulk you'd see the meeting and them getting rid of Hulk in the beginning.
And with the inclusion of characters you would bring them along through Shield. They are already established with having Hawkeye and Black Widow. (all movie seen). So you could easily explain to the audience that there are a lot of Heroes that just aren't on the level of Iron Man, Cap, and others. And before the split they make the choice of Cap or Iron Man. The Villains would be explained similar way, through shield you have a data base of where most villains are etc.
side note, i'll dust um off and read um again.
Plus Spider-man revealing himself lead to the death of Aunt May. Honestly, if Marvel could acquire the rights to all the characters again they should do Civil War sooner rather than later. Alot of great, GREAT story arcs came out of Civil War, including "One More Day" for Spider-man.
In One More Day, Mephisto offers to bring Aunt May back to life, but only if Peter Parker and Mary Jane sacrifice their love. Peter agrees, and wakes up the next day with no recollection of ever knowing Mary Jane, and falls in love with Gwen Stacy, who was subsequently brought back to life. Now that I think about it, with the fact that they are using Gwen Stacy in the movie, this wouldnt even work....damb

Hulk only having a nominal role just isn't going to happen. People will be pissed of that, trust me.
All these other heroes and villains, just introducing them out of nowhere will result in major failure, see XMen 3. Avengers worked so well because they were smart enough to make an origin film for every core member, at least the most important ones. Honestly, IronMan, Thor and Capt. America are big character in the comic book world, but the general public only knows of them but has no idea who they are. Now these characters are mainstream just like Superman, Batman, SpiderMan and the Hulk. The films developed the characters and gained a giant fanbase for each and that is why Avengers was such a hit. The audience felt like they knew these characters well from the start and want to see the continuation of their story, putting them all in the same film just made it even more epic.
Throwing new heroes and villains no one knows is just not going to turn out well, it'll be a convoluted disaster.

I think Planet Hulk would fail, because it would literally be an entirely CGI movie. There would be no Mark Ruffalo, or Bruce Banner, it would just be the CGI Hulk for 2+ hours...it would basically be an action packed Pixar movie

No need for Ruffalo... I'm all for a full on Hulk Movie. Because it would be an Action packed Hulk movie, just twisting up your words a bit.
All these side storylines like WW hulk and Civil war is something marvel should not even touch.
I'm getting kind of scared with the extremis talk for the next iron man movie but their including the mandarin. Still sounds like a disaster to me. IMHO the next iron man is make or break for the avengers in terms of coming close to reaching/shattering the record they just set. It all started with him, sorta if you look past all the hulks we've dealt with.
I'm in total favor for having extremis somehow tie into an Ultron appearance...I think he could be pulled off very well...especially if you look at these giant mech movies like transformers, battleship...etc. If ultron could be introduced instead of extremis and still include Mandarin it would be solid...because if Marvel is going to try and introduce more characters for the next avengers film you could possibly sneak in a giant man/yellowjacket/antman cameo in dealing with ultron. Don't mention if they wanted to include ultimo.
Marvel did something exceptionally well...the no need for a significant back story for black widow or hawk eye and still hold cohesion to the avengers...same could be done with some of the other characters they want to introduce for the next movie.
Take for example Iron Man 2...Whiplash should not have been the villain for that movie...the best part was his backstory in their fathers working together...but they executed the vision of whiplash poorly. Iron Man should fight Iron Men like crimson dynamo or titanium man or one of those fools or a group of them. Marvel needs to correct this by bringing out not such obscure characters but semi-obscure to where the general population doesn't know them but their compelling enough characters to make people go "ooooooooo".
That being said...Avengers needs to fight Thanos the next movie. If not then it has to have some part alluding to Thanos getting the gems.
For next movies:
Iron Man should fight ultron/mandarin
Thor should fight enchantress/wrecking crew
Cap should fight baron zemo/taskmaster
come at me.
And if they wanted to revive ghost rider he needs to fight mephisto, who was thanos' lackey in the infinity war.
A bankruptcy to Sony Studios but even then, SpiderMan is such a cash cow that it'll be very hard to give it back. Sony's movie division is actually doing really bad, so bad that they had to sell Amazing Spider-Mans merchandising rights to Disney (who owns Marvel). But chances are good that this new SM movie will give a good amount of profit back to Sony Studios so really, Marvel isn't getting SM anytime soon.

I KNEW this was going to come up, KNEW IT. The Wrecking Crew would be HORRIBLE on the big screen. Can you imagine Thor fighting a crew of super powered construction workers? And I always thought Mephisto was manipulating Thanos, but I could be wrong. And im pretty sure Ghost Rider is owned by Sony smh. But I think you hit the nail on the head with Ultron and Mandrin, I would love to see them in a movie. I expected to see Mandarin in the 1st IM movie
Man I got tricked by the hype of this movie smh...I really thought it was going to blow me away that's probably why It fell short everyone kept telling me to go see it that it was this Godly movie but it was just okay..If I had to do it all over knowing what I know now I would have watched it for free at a friends house once he got it on Blu-ray not the worse 10 bucks I ever spent but definitely no where near the best lol gone
This is true but Marvel's animation divison sucks. They should have DC animation team do it

Ignoring that Hulk isn't the main character so his role and the portrayal in the film is limited and completely different when ppl say this what are they liking more about the Hulk in the Avengers than in The Incredible Hulk? That he didn't have that one kinda emotional side that he usually has with Betty in his own movie? That he isn't fighting the army again? Tat in this movie he got to fight a possible match in strength and hero in Thor? That most of the film isn't dealing strictly with the Hulk? I mean to me the Avengers Hulk barely talked, screamed a lot and did his usual smashing. When it comes to the Hulk all the casual fans want is the action and for him not to look ridiculous with the cgi so I'm not seeing what's separating what the Hulk did in Avengers from what the Hulk did in TIH. The way I see it the Hulk choking the life out of Abomination with a chain is just as cool as it is funny when he beats Loki around like a rag doll (and Hulk fighting Blonsky and the army was better than him fighting Thor). The whole focus on the Hulk portrayal being the best is what's completely overblown. It's not hard at all for the special effects guys to get the Hulk right, and if anything what the Hulk does should only get better with w/e the writers write up and the sfx guys do well every appearance so saying what he did in this movie was better than the last aint saying much.

I mean people could only post
There wasn't some intricate plot and as good as Loki was his main goal as the supervillain was the usual world domination. It's basically the assembling of the Avengers facing a foe with a whole of power and an invading alien force behind him.

This would be cool. It'd shine more light on a "team" that doesn't get much attention as it use to with the rise of Young Avengers, Young Masters, etc.

Im pretty sure he was dead, he may have been in Asgard dealing with Ragnarock. I know that soon after Civil War, all of Asgard was dead, and Thor was trying to recreate it on Earth. But either way, Civil War isnt really an option for the Avengers...but an animated movie would be ok.....i guess
Yeah he was dead after dealing with the final ragnarock and revealing some Norse space gods that were feeding off of the cycle of their death and rebirth, that's when he had another version of the Rune/ w/e power his mother Gaea gave him.
