The College Basketball Post

It shouldn't matter much but they sponsor the AAU teams a lot of these kids play on and idk if the kids get a sense of loyalty or there are special benefits being offered but these kids then make it a factor into their recruitment it seems like.

I know Jaylen said that he would go to an Adidas school but I think he went back and said it won't factor into his decision.

I think if you look at some of his criteria that he claims is important Michigan should have the advantage.

He says education is an important factor. Michigan is going to have that advantage a majority of the time.

He said player development is important. I think Michigan should have the advantage in that too. I know Kentucky puts all these guys in the league but how much are these kids improving? Michigan this year was down their two best player and playing a lot of freshman and walk-ons even and they improved significantly by the end of the season. How much of Kentuckys success is just because they have crazy talent (Honestly asking)?

Beilien is a good X's and O's coach and teaches the game really good. Cal is a great recruiter and is really good at getting these kids to play together.

We'll see. No one will be shocked if he ends up at UK.

How much is he honestly going to develop in the one year he's in college? Sounds like a bunch of fluff to me.

I'm just going off of what the kid has said is all. If he said "It doesn't matter where I go because I won't develop much in a year." Then I'd go off that.

Jon Belien runs NBA concepts on offence which is good but he's not improving anyone especially in a year.

And throw the "education" factor in that dumpster as well.

Cal has done some great development on players who are not one and done. Nobody is going to make a kid improve that much skillwise, but Cal does get them accustomed to what it takes mentally to succeed at the next level. The pressure at UK has no comparison at the college level. That fire is so hot only the brightest of stars will thrive in it.

I'm excited for this next season. Cal does his best coaching when he is not an overwhelming favorite. I wish we'd get ranked preseason at the bottom of the top 25 instead of top.

Anytime a high profile recruit talks up academics, you can 9/10 pencil them out for MIchigan.

Either sport.

I don't follow by you saying he's not improving anyone.

1 and done players are what they are for the most and the time that they spend their won't actually change anything about their games.

they don't have the time for real skill development, and becuase the rules and level of competition is so different actually playing college ball doesn't really improve NBA skills.

playing in a more NBA style offence like Michigans or Iowa State just makes it easier for scouts to evaluate how your game will translate but won't offer tangible improvements.

Oh For ****'s sake....

I mean, really, Jesus ******* Christ!!!!

Ya know, Kentucky I get. \
