dudes saying Dennis Smith Jr or Deearon Fox gonna be better than Ball in the pros

Dennis is more of a pure PG. I really think he'll be nice in the pros, just needs to get his jumper consistent.

As for de'aaron "John Wall 2.0" fox, I'm not a fan.

So you wouldn't take Westbrook 2.0 over Ball?

I'm doing that in a heartbeat. Ball's game just doesn't translate all that well to the pros, how is this still up for debate? :lol

I feel like you know what you're getting with Dennis. He has the skillset and physical attributes to be a very solid NBA player, and if all goes right, could be a multi-time all-star.

Fox is a wildcard. Great athlete with very good feel for the game. His jumpshot though...There have been games where he's been able to knock down a good amount of shots, and when he does that, he looks like he could be the best player in the country. However, most of the time, he's heaving up bricks. If he can learn to make shots more often than not at the next level, he can be a high level starting point guard. If he can't, he's in the Elfrid Payton zone and your team is going to be in no mans land.

I think with Lonzo, you know that you're going to get an excellent passer and probably a very good catch and shoot guy. Based off that alone, he will be in the league for a very long time. I just question his star potential if he can't consistently score off the dribble.

Dennis is not Westbrook 2.0. Nah man.

Let's put it this way: Dennis is closer to Westbrook than any other comparison that's been thrown out there for this year's draft class.

Especially when you consider where Dennis is now compared to where Russell was coming out of UCLA - he's ahead of the curve.

I mean, the Steve Francis comp seems pretty damn good for him and WAY more accurate than Westbrook. Russ is a complete freak of nature athlete that has a motor like we've never seen before. I don't see that kind of motor on Dennis. At all.

He could never be Westbrook though because Russ has a 6'8 wingspan while Dennis has 6'3.

That allows Russ to implement his athleticism in a different way, finishing is easier, he's an elite rebounder and it's easier for him to get his shot off.

Dennis reminds me more of Steve Francis pre Henny.

C'mon my dude, everything is all relative. There will never be another Westbrook but if we're going to use a current player as a baseline comparison then he is the closest thing to what Dennis is and can be.

Francis is a pretty accurate comparison tho, I'll concede that.

This dude got alligator arms. Great athlete though.
