The College Basketball Post

UK commited 25 turnovers but gritted it out at Auburn, Ramel Bradley and Jodie Meeks didnt play 4 game win streak....Hopefully we can keep it going.

I agree, beasley is a beast and as long as they dont fall off he will win POY

we just tried to give a game away.

no Bradley = season-high 24 turnovers and damn near choke job.

but we did shoot 67%.

Crawford and Patterson with 20 each.

and Auburn's coach Jeff Lebo looks like some actor, i just can't think of who:

Seems like he's more efficient. More well-rounded at this point, IMO...

Greg Paulus is giving to these dudes tonight...

good win on the road at auburn for kentucky. we get to go there this weekend. kentucky has really turned it up lately... i wonder if it's too late?luckily, the committee looks heavily at your most recent games.

Damn Paulus has gotten a lot better.

Edit- Duke has gained some respect.

He kinda looks like William Hurt in that 1st picture. William Hurt is the dude from Mr. Brooks (Kevin Costner's alter-ego guy)...

Good game by the huskies, Harris was scary but Thabeet's defense

. Adrien and AJ were solid.... oh and Syracuse always plays US hard hahaaa

Both my squads playin' back to back tonight. They got it done last saturday. If they get it done again tonight I'm callin' every jumpoff in the crackberry and invitin' em over at the same time on some I don't give a $@+$ type !$%$

My thoughts on tonight....

Cuse>Uconn

UNC and Duke are very close but I still think with Lawson, UNC is a tad better.

Dayton had a big 2nd half to get the must win game they had with Charlotte. Too bad the committee won't care that they lost some games without some oftheir best players.

Maryland has seem to come into their own....they should be the 4th team to dance from the ACC.

Miami is officially officially done.

Harngody will get BE POY

Beasley will most definitely get POY

Harngody will get BE POY
And that's a shame.....you put a bigger defender on him and he is doing absolutely nothing. He is a fraud.

I'm not sure how you can say you're better than Uconn when they're one of hottest teams in the country, and won on your floor? Is Green missingshots really a rarity at this point?

Grenne doesn't always shoot Great by any means but not 2/15 either. Even against Gtown, he was terrible in the 1st but came back and did his thing in the2nd. Today that didn't happen. He couldn't hit one all night.

So Uconn is playing at their BEST, Our #1 scorer went 2/15 and we lost on the last shot.....

Also, once Scoop gets back and getting more playing time, Jonny will get a little rest so he won't be fatigued at the end of games which is importantobviously

well, we've won 4 in a row and we're now 5-2 in the SEC. the last 11 games have been a totally different team than that team that lost toG-Webb and San Diego and UAB and Houston, especially since Jasper has came back. we've been playing pretty good but i'm not sure if we're evergoing to have another game in which Patterson, Bradley, Crawford, Meeks, and Jasper all see the floor. i can't even tell you the last time that happenedright off. we've been fortunate to not get anyone in foul trouble thru all these injuries. we had an RPI of 113 (up 21 since the Georgia game) beforelast night's win at Auburn. our RPI was like 240 before the Louisville game
sick.gif
. we've got wins over Tennessee (#1 RPI) and Vandy (#11.) i think we'll have a chance at getting in if we can get thru the rest ofconference play with no more than 3 (probably 2) losses and at least 1 win in the SEC tourney. if we can do that, maybe the committee will take into accountall the injuries and recent good play and put us in. being "Kentucky" and bringing tons of fans may help as well, but i'd put my money on aconference tourney championship being the only way we get in
embarassed.gif
. ithink we have the second longest active streak of NCAA tourney appearances behind Kansas. i think if we do get in and have everyone healthy, we could besomewhat of a "scary" team to play.

tmay, that wasn't who i was thinking about...but it's pissing me off that i can't think of who it is. i can see his face, just can put it in amovie.

EDIT - our RPI is now 97. UT is still 1 and Vandy is 13.

I see what you're saying - being UK could help a lot.... but wow, 97 is LOOOOOOW... I've never heard of a team over 75 in the RPI evergetting a bid... and you guys gotta jump a lot of teams at this point to get into that range.

If they factor in the stuff you talked about, you stand a chance - but you've gotta win some more big games in a hurry... if i were you, i'd just keephope you'll win the SEC tourney
