The Combat Jack Show Thread

He's not getting another job.

He's about to be 34. TO still was useful at the end of his career, but all the other side show **** was greater than what he could then produce. He was the third receiver after Evans and Godwin. Now add in all the off field stuff from AB, which TO never had.

It's one thing he went at Robert Kraft on his way out of New England, now he's gone after Arians and Brady.

If you brought him in it would be a show and prove contract, and if it doesn't work out he's going to act like a baby. He can't be trusted and is a distraction.

A team like the Jets or Lions will sign AB

A young team and a coach without power ain't touching him

and any coach like Tomlin or Andy Reid ain't touching him.

Son posted text messages between him and Bruce Arians. Would you date a chick who did that?

Lol big homie u must've forgot what these chicks is doing out here. If she an AB level talent she gon have a new dude that night.

The text message thing and ****ting on TB is damning but if AB is what it takes to give a team just enough competitive advantage to get to the Big Game I could see it happening.

I think Joe discounted the fact that a million dudes are up and coming and while many of them may not have his natural athleticism and talent there is someone out there that can and will catch that ball and shut up while doing so.

Only reason Tampa signed him is because Brady pushed for him. Bruce Arians never wanted him, he said it in a interview then a few months lated AB was there.

He was free this past off-season and no team wanted him except the Bucs because of Tom Brady. Even a losing team that's not going anywhere, why would you bring more negative energy to your team. You not getting great production and he crazy as ****. No reason to sign him.

I think some dudes will mess with the crazy chick. She wouldn't do it to me, but a lot of dudes wouldn't and would run at the first red flags. AB has displayed them consistently.

I think the text message and then the Tom Brady stuff cemented it. A coach isn't going to risk his job on HIM, and not many coaches have that sort of job security. Pete Carroll doesn't even have it anymore.

I think the walking off the field, you could say it was a misunderstanding when he said get out. Even though AB said the same thing about Tomlin at the end. He used the same get out and injury excuse.

There comes a point where even if you can still produce, if you are a question mark they'll let you go. Randy, Chad and TO could have played longer, but they weren't Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz got to pick when he wanted to walk away.

Tampa was that team

U think Tampa is the only one out there that wants to win that bad?

We talking about a sport where a common play is actually called "the hail Mary".

I'm like 60/40 on him playing again (60 he doesn't play).

It's a long shot in a sport where ppl consistently take long shots to win.

I can't say no team is ever gonna sign but again Tampa was the only team that was tryna get him after he acted a fool in oakland. This past offseason Tampa was still the only team.

The Chiefs don't need or want another WR. The Packers wouldn't sign him? The Bills? The Cards? The Cowboys? Jerry Jones loves drama but they already got too many WR's.

**** kinda crazy

Although I’ve never seen the show to know if it would change the stories why not just set it in college

What difference does it make what setting it's in?

"I have no problems seeing those real 27 year old *******...but i can't watch because they're pretending to be 18"

The show is based off the creator's life and it's also an accurate depiction of what high school juniors/seniors are doing.

Just feels weird glamorizing that to kids (especially with the 30+ year old actresses which can **** up a kids body image etc.) and extra weird when combined with the soundtrack choices. Feels like the creators glamorizing a romanticized exaggerated version of their high school life to a generation who’s gonna try and emulate it. Not the first or last show that did/will do any of this but that’s why people think it’s weird

What’s the point of forcing this into high school when college as a setting is right there? You can say this for a lot of movies/shows that make HS a setting though.

As far as it being based on the creators experience? When I did a small look into the show just now it said this came out in 2012 in Europe or some **** and the HBO version is a remake

Not that deep I don’t watch but I get why people are uncomfortable with all this stuff as it relates to a show that’s gonna attract a mostly under 18 audience because of Zendaya. It’s not really about us “being uncomfortable with 27 year old ******* because she’s pretending to be 18”

The target demo of this show aren't kids. It's us. Millennials. Hence alot of the music of the show being from the 90s/2000s. The 30 year old actresses are being casted because...you guessed it...they LOOK young. @ "body image".

This isn't being "forced" into a high school setting. This IS high school.

I also think you have a perception of the show which isn't exactly true. You're making this seem as is this is a child pornography and this show is about nothing but kids ****ing and doing lines of coke and that couldn't be further from the truth

Also...90% of the drug use on this show is from the main character, Zendaya....whose character and her story are extremely dark and grimm... and I doubt would influence a "kid" to say "I wanna be like that".
