The Dominican Queen calls out Dominican racism

In your experience you've seen non-white people like asians be identified as Black? Ok

What's the unique Black heritage for Dominicans or Nigerians or Somalians? just curious. You mean like foods and such?

No, asians are an exception that demonstrate the point.

But yes to answer your question: food, music, art, tradition etc. I guess it would all fall under "culture."

Is there no unique black "culture" as it relates to black descendants of the American slave trade? If there is, what is the moniker to distinguish it as there are certainly monikers to distinguish the unique heritage as it relates to Dominicans, Nigerians, Somalians, etc.

To add another point, Black history month (in America) is typically celebrated in February. And that is generally celebrating the contribution of black descendants of slaves in America. And the term black, in that context, isn't as broad as is generally used now.

I could be wrong, but I don't generally recall a broad discussion of Dominican history, Nigerian History, Ghanaian History, etc. during that time.

The second rich English folks crafted the definition of white out of their sick *** imagination, they crafted the definition of black and set the hierarchy of power in place with them at the top. It was in Virginia, started around 1680. These things are not some abstract thoughts or feelings. This is history and fact. Before this time there was no such thing as white people, thus no such thing as black people. Rich English people created imaginary white people to stay in power through BS laws. Same as it is today. Before this time you were Irish, German, French, Dutch, Scottish, etc. with English at the top of the food chain. African POWs were actually endentured servants, worked along with and married, and earned their freedom just like other endentured servants without regard to skin color. Rich English folks could no longer keep power by simply being English so they opened the books and created "white" not by treating poor Irish, German, French, Dutch, etc any better but buy labeling Africans as black and taking everything from them. Proud Boys indeed.

Don’t forget manifest destiny, the “civilizing” of savages, and the “spreading” of Christianity

They're "Black", but not like of African descent. Their ppl come from Samoa, and Oceania has mad groups like Melanesia's that have been separated from Africa for 10's of thousands of years.

I think that it is wise to no longer argue with people who are only Black when it is convenient. It is clearly evident that something is happening around the globe, and there are more of us, than there are of them.

Let's keep a nice long memory of who said what, and then who did what.

Especially since Trump was elected.

In simple terms - you are Black if you are a member of the African Diaspora.

As James Baldwin said...African American is a misnomer.

"To be an African American is to be African without the memories and American without the privilege."
