Only thing that can stop the NFL are the health risks that are bringing about these rule changes.

Wait until a major change is made in the name of safety. The game will continue trending towards a less contact-friendly league and that will alienate many fans.

It's true that in the NBA there are only a handful of teams each season with a realistic shot at winning the title, but at the same time... I don't think it's that predictable. 6 different teams have won the title in the past 7 years. :nerd:

Last season we saw a team break the regular season record and look unbeatable, then go down 3-1 in the Conference Finals and look real mortal, then improbably win 3 straight, only to have the same thing done to them by the Cavs. The way the WCF and Finals unfolded was pretty incredible.

this already happened. you cant even hit anymore. how many more changes can there be,

NFL needs to cut the Thursday games..

Move that game to Monday night.. start 1 at 6:30.. the other at 8

They need to realize there is such a thing as too much.. the product is horrible and it's painfully obvious.. but it takes away the shine from the rest since it's on such a big stage

I dont see it being any different than the Heatles era or even Dubs last year

Ppl will want to tune in for the show regardless.

NBA isnt topping the NFL success but there are benefits to a top heavy league too

KD joined a team with 3 all NBA guyss and won 73 games last year.. they were the overwhelming favorite last year and added a top 3 player

While weakening a strong opponent

Then you have Duncan retiring

Something will have to go seriously wrong for it not to be cavs vs warriors in finals.. and going take some serious wetting the bed for warriors to lose

Just because there is a strong possibilty we all know what the ending will look like (probably the highest finals rating ever incoming)

There is too much star power crammed into a few teams for ppl not to be intrigued for the love, hate or in for the f'ery of it all

Any sport is capable of stinkers at the highest level, whether its the finals or the Super Bowl.

The NBA just had straight theatre last finals, so people remember that. Its not always like that though.

Makes sense the NFL tryna hustle 3 days of the week so it ain't happening.

man.. the NBA is inferior as hell.

2 teams have a combined 33 championships.

if you're in the east you can lose the majority of your games and still make the playoffs.

1 man has made the NBA finals 6 years in a row.

i'm not saying the NFL is so much greater.

but the last 30 years of the NBA has no parity. none
no one has come up with a good reason why this is a bad thing. match ups we want to see >

without parity. the league is predictable and watered down. you know this man.

everyone knows lebron and the cavs are a lock in the eastern conference finals and/or finals

and same with the warriors.

I bet the ratings for the nba will plummet.

the average consumer/casual fan is not going to watch some random game between the rockets and jazz on TNT because those two teams don't have a realistic chance of making the finals.

The NBA might as well try to market to the fans to see who can 'upset' the warriors in the regular season.

People watch the NBA to see individual greatness. No one cares about those teams, but will tune in to see Harden drop 40 and Gobert grab 20 boards while blocking 9 shots.

bruh.. nobody on the west coast is going to watch that 6:30 game at 3:30.
laugh.gif

that's still early as hell on the east coast too.

cut the thursday games and add in an extra slot for 4:30 or even 5 on sundays

have that game broadcasted on CBS or ESPN.

no reason to have 1 game available on cable at 4:30.
