"Winning" $2.5M in a recession FTL. Chances are all their incomes and land won't add up to this since land out there is cheaper and their wagesare probably miniscule.

I'm glad that they're finally getting punished, though. If they weren't so violent, then they could do their thing and keep it amongst themselves(and within the laws).

There is a good episode of South Park: "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime" or something like that. It's a good watch.

On the standard of principle, I don't agree that if I murder a black man, as opposed to a man the same color of my skin - that the sentence should be any different. Would the court recognize the murder of a white, by a fellow white, as a hate crime, if the perpetrator showed an open contempt for people of his own skin color?

It only serves to divide society, to recognize that there is a difference between black and white and brown, when our ultimate aim should be to erase color lines.

like right now, are you serious? if YOU chose to murder a person regardless of his or her skin tone, hopefully prosecution would have delvedeep enough into your background to see whether your act was a meditated bias crime, a heat of the moment case, or a self defense situation. whatever yourmotives were, they would have been divulged in not only your actions during the crime, but also in the court of law.

my point is this, the scenario you gave didn't mirror this crime. if you were a part of an affiliation that advocates terror against others based on theirdifferences in race, then that should be considered a hate crime. you gonna tell me after hearing what the klan preaches its little kids isn't hatemongering, its just white pride rhetoric? yeah, i'm to believe the crimes they do against others (not white) are just left up to interpretation whether ornot it's a hate crime.
