The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

thats not exactly what hes saying

hes saying that he's never turned down an opponent thats been offered to him on a scheduled situation

for all we know, that fight may have never been offered to him, it seems like his manager turned  it down before it even got to him

but people want to assume things like the rematch being offered at 145 for the belt and people magically adding 10 lbs to their cut, its funny how people look at this 2 week situation and all of a sudden hes a ducker

you think he turned down khabib?
Aldo is definitely not a ducker, but when you talk loud and obnoxious saying he'd fight anytime anywhere... you set yourself up

The fight was available and Aldo did not take it. He blames his manager but it sounds bogus ..

I don't blame Aldo one bit for not taking the short notice fight he needed time to recover and a short notice fight would have been subpar

the issues is that people make assumptions as if this was some formal offer on paper

aldo's manager said something like "they asked if he'd be ready in 2 weeks and i said no" or something along those lines, thats all it was

its like this previous bisping-henderson situation that anderson talked about, the ufc didnt make a formal offer to anderson in case there was an issue, they just told his management to tell him to stand by, thats all it was

these are just things that happen in passing, for instance, i dont believe that khabib turned down aldo but i am inclined to believe that his dad turned it down

Aldo himself said his coach turned it down

I don't know what else you want

Like I said he isn't a ducker but when you say all the things he said and don't end up accepting the actual fight you just set yourself up

i dont want anything

its just that people are criticizing him for his whole "anywhere, anytime" stunt when for all we know, it may have never gotten to him

"The fight was available and Aldo did not take it." - this is what you said

he says his manager turned it down and his manager says he turned it down, who knows if it ever even got to him

i have the same opinion of khabib, who knows if the aldo fight ever got to him

It's not the end of the world my man. It's okay to accept that Josie turned down the fight. Nothing bad will come of accepting that fact. Because if Josie never knew about the fight, he would have said my manager never even told me it was offered, not that he turned it down

tell me more about the fight being offered at 145 for the title and connor magically adding 10 lbs to his cut in 10 days

aldo even talks about so and so's father turning down a fight with him, thats just how the game goes

ufc asked aldo's manager if he'd be ready in 2 weeks and his manager said no, but people want to make it seem like the ufc called him directly and he literally said no

You're arguing semantics at this point. Dana always offers fights to the fighter's camps.

No way RDA pulls out that Josie Aldo isn't aware that a replacement is being sought out. After all that bluffing he did about anytime anywhere, when that chance manifested itself Josie chose to let his management take the blame.

no, its not semantics

so supposedly khabibs father turns down a fight with aldo, all of a sudden khabibs ducking aldo?

whatever, people are going to see things however they want

Holloway talked all that ish but he aint trying to fight.. reminds me of when Aldo talked all that ish and then turned down the Conor fight on short notice

Turns out Holloway has an injured ankle that doctors told him to stay off of for a month

Josie conning the public again :{

I'm sure Aldo isn't just making up that someone turned down the fight. Whether it's ducking or not, who cares, whoever it was turned it down

If a fight is offered and you let someone else dictate whether or not you take it you gotta accept that as your own choice. Saying "no, I didn't turn down the fight, my manager did" sounds so bad, like you can't make your own choices?

If Max does not get a shot it will be delicious, waiting on the the sidelines for the fade from Jose.

I hope he does get a shot though so Aldo will silence him.

Calling out Aldo to fight in Feb but it turns out he can't fight in Feb because of Disneyland or his injured ankle. In the words of Conor "just put some ice on it you little *****". Not SRS about the ice part because if the doctor said he should rest up to 4-6 weeks than Max should

Again? When was he conning the public in the first place?

Figured I'd pepper in this little tid-bit:

Ariel said everything Aldo said about 208 is true.

"BTW, after speaking to Aldo, I fact-checked everything he said about 208 and the March card. He's not playing games. It's all accurate."

Lmaoooo

Hunt and reem seem to be fighting on UFC 209 with hunt requesting protection in case reem fails drug tests .. not sure if he's gonna get that

Uberreem gonna get walk-off KO'd. I like Alistair, but his chin is basically glass at this point.

You folks get a bit too emotional when it comes to Josie.

Yesterday Josie presented a scenario where Max knew about their matchup at 208 before way before he stepped into the cage at 206.

Today Max said this was incorrect and Dana did notnpresent this option until he beat Showtime.

In attempt to turn the public perception tables, Josie exaggerated the truth thus him "conning" again

Not emotional, but I cant speak for everyone. Just saying I'm not seeing what you're saying and presented a counter argument w/ a reputable source attached.
