It’s too bad Izzy doesn’t try trips or takedowns. Bobby definitely doing better. His striking technique is a lil sloppy. He is getting a jab in here or there.

I’m a little disappointed in Izzy’s hands. He should definitely be piecing a plodding Whitaker with jabs. And where are the traps and setups.

Izzy has had lackluster defenses besides the Costa one. He’s definitely going up against tough opponents. The best. But with that money…his hands, juijitsu, and wrestling should be better.

I definitely haven’t watched mma as frequently as I should, but my immediate thoughts was Rob found his footing like mid 2nd rd and kept Izzy at a low volume. Threatened w/ takedowns and sub attempts. Countered with stiff jabs and also initiated forward w/ hard jabs. There was definitely some questionable times when rob had his back and no attempts at tripping his Achilles, back knee, or high crotch dumps. If that was khabib, he would eat in those positions, but rob was in those dominant positions that could’ve dictated those rds.

I had rob taking rds 2,4,5. Rd 3 was so close but Izzy did enough where I believe he took it.
But again I’ve definitely lost an eye for this sport the last two years and I could be very off
