The NBA Draft Thread

Timothe was looking real nice last night :hat

I also love Richaun Holmes. I wish we could just trade BOTH Okafor and Noel and sign some vet center and give Embiid, Holmes and the vet all the time there since we already have Simmons, Saric and Grant at PF.

I really still can't believe the Celtics could have had Noel or Okafor plus Timothe, Covington and Furkan......and instead wanted just Jaylen Brown. That kid better turn into a damn superstar in the next few years.

I am really liking what I have seen from Simmons Dude is like a young Jason Kidd at PF. I can see him being a constant triple double threat. The jumper looks better than what was expected of him, if he continues to work hard on that, there is no reason why he couldn't be a threat at the midrange to say the least.

I can also see Noel being a way better fit that Oak on this team. Noel and Simmons on the open court and pick and rolls will be a beauty to watch. I am not too sure about Oak and Simmons pairing.

This season will finally be one to look forward to.

It's hard to believe rumours like that. I highly doubt that was the package presented to Boston. You hear all the rumours coming out of Philly and none came true.

The asking price was probably a lot higher.

Jaylen Brown hitting a 3 and not taking a ton was pretty encouraging. A lot of young wings fall in love with the 3 even though they aren't actually good shooters. Seems like he has a solid understanding of what his biggest strength is, which is getting to the rim. Doesn't seem like he's a good finisher, yet, but if he can get to the line as much as he did last night, I'll be very happy.

Damn. Simmons passes are like major league pitches. Real deliberate touch and precision. Extra crispy

Brown trying to smash on everyone

Always notice a lot of this in SPL and preseason from young players trying to press their limits. Definitely a good sign

That sounds terrible. Grant is a bum who has no business on the NbA. We haven't seen Saric even play an NBA squad, and there's always the chance that Embiid gets injured again plus he's not going to give meaningful minutes this year.

Holmes is a bench player on a better team but he doesn't have a place here

The real test for Simmons is gonna be posting smaller guys and being able to drive by bigger guys. Once teams are scared to switch PNRs - he's gonna flourish. He's already dynamite in transition.

I'm pretty sure I disagree with every single opinion that I've seen you post on here about the Sixers.

Holmes and Grant are very good bench players. And if Embiid does stay healthy there is zero chance in hell that he "doesn't provide meaningful minutes."

Yea he's a matchup nightmare, if he can just hit a respectful % on his jumper it's going to be tough to do anything with him.

Watching him go coast to coast is a thing of beauty, you can't teach that type of vision.
