The NBA Draft Thread

Why is quick over tall? And Ingram being slow is why I never liked him as a prospect. Clearly slower than Durant and giannis

He can bully 2s at his current size instead of getting bullied by 3s :lol

The rules don't let you exploit size mismatches as much.

1. The illegeal defense rules makes it easier to stop post ups.

2. The refs let short players get away with murder when they are matched up with someone taller.

Happens every playoffs with Kevin Durant.

Also people thought Gannis wasn't explosive pre draft when they saw the tape.

same with KD, he wasn't considered an elite explosive leaper.

Super skinny guys athleticism tends to improve a lot when they get into NBA training programs.

That **** doesn't matter when size is similar. It's about talent.

Wade is 6'4"+ in shoes and is the best shot blocking guard of all time to go with the rest of his accolades.

Hield's ability to hit from the NBA 3 off the dribble will determine whether he's a star or superstar not him being only 6'5"

D wade had a 6-11 wingspan and a big standing reach.

Physical tools do matter, they help you project what parts of a prospects game will or wont translate.

I see the Heild OJ comparison.

set shooters/off the dribble, who don't really come off screens.

The coming of screens stuff worries me, because I haven't seen Heild do that a ton, and Nik Stauskas was similar in college and has had a difficult time adapting to this in the NBA.

Heild is longer than both Stauskas and OJ tho.

I've always wondered if the ability to move off screens can be developed
\

Stauskas went from a dead eye, automatic 3 point shooter to a 32% one because he's not use to shooting off multiple screens.

Klay Thompson said Mark Jackson brought in Reggie Miller (I think it was reggie) to teach him how to come off screens.
