Flood the type of cat in high school who always had the nice new clothes/pretty boy who always had the little 1 line petty comebacks that had you mad and ready to fight.

Waiiit.. why did they trade for Ed Davis.. I don't get it in here.. You take Haliburton you still have to develop him.. while you still have DSJr, RJ, Knox and Frank.. soo a fifth wing player that your have to develop.. Not to mention holding out on that whatever is wrong with DSJr mentally is has now been set right.. Plus Topin is their age knows the city.. which can help out the young guys in the long run if they choose and if he can come in and be their Blake Griffin.. Then they have new school Blake and Jordan.. Doesn't matter who can or can't defend. Knicks need to push the tempo get easy buckets from that second break and pray RJ becomes a deadly shooter

Pat was 23 when he became a Knick and no floodarea floodarea im not comparing him to Ewing. Just trying to be positive for once.
Ewing was also the unanimous #1 pick in a time where teams were built around bigs and on top of that not a single player in that draft was under the age of 21

No idea what kind of point you’re trying to make here it’s a completely different time

All I was saying is that you can have a successful NBA career without being drafted at 18 or 19.

So the consensus is if you spend more than 2 years in college or you are older than 21 you are who you are and can’t get better. But if you’re not that good but 18 or 19 the NBA can groom you into an All Star.

Man ...

LoL

Do you rember the time when a player had to develop his game in college so he could be NBA ready?

Since someone said there's been plenty of teens that have turned their franchise around just like that .. from jump.

Imma sit here and wait for all their names.

So we’re looking at

Mitch
Obi
Hayward
RJ
Westbrook

?
Or would it be one or the other ? Hayward/Westbrook?

Sorry for the bad copy and paste... but yeah.. THIS is why I'm disappointed in the pick as well as his poor defense.

pathetic.

Which is why I won’t hate on this #8 pick. This French scrub gets chance after chance, but u hate the hometown kid?

Get the kid a pick N roll PG (who ain’t scared to shoot) & watch y’all cream pants on game night. I don’t think any reasonable fan thinks he, nor any of these players in this draft are franchise saviors.

I’ll give the new regime benefit of the doubt.

*/RJ/Ingram/Toppin/Mitch could be lethal. Keep nothing but shooters & defense/rebounding on the bench.

None of those guys are anywhere near as athletic as at his size as Toppin fwiw

have zero doubts he won’t score but he’s gonna suck defensively

In 2023 .... with all the picks we have.

Either we trade for a star or we get to choose from some of the best college kids becaude HS are being drafter ahead or top HS recruits because no one wants to take a chances.

So again.. so far im good with what Leon is doing.

Obadiah gets a shot like the rest of the lottery picks do aaaaaaand he from NY :smokin his pre draft highlight vids are better than the last few picks we made :lol but we will see.

All jokes aside.

If the Knicks would of have drafted a 22 y/o 6-1 guard that everybody past on, we would of have been laughed at.

Yet we draft dudes that were better in college and have the potential to be better and we **** on them.

This is the absurd fan mentality.

Take his name out of the equation.

Would you want a 26 year old PG coming off an 18/4/7 season where he shot 39% from three on 7 attempts? Would that player help our team?
FVV is nice for sure but it’s all bout the money...Can’t pay yo difference maker type of bread when he’s not that...If the Knicks were already solid and had money to make moves then sure give him whatever he wants, but don’t cash out on a dude that’s gon lead the squad to the 7/8th seed at best
