They ended up trading most of those picks to be able to draft Champ Bailey and Jon Jansen. Won the division in ‘99 and then Snyder started the revolving door of coachesYou'd think it would've turned that Washington franchise around, but nope.
Hot Take...
Isaiah Simmons shouldn’t be picked in the top 10.
Context: I was reading draft stuff, mocks etc. See Simmons at 4 constantly.
Wouldn’t be specific guys, would be positions and luxury picks. I personally don’t consider Simmons as a linebacker (example: Urlacher, Zach Thomas, Luke, etc.) I saw a comparison that was a big Yes for me, Derwin James. James went late to the Chargers around pick 20. Giants need a lot of pieces, not luxury picks. But for a team that took Barkley they value the luxury over need.
Looking at the teams in the top 10, all need OLine, DLine, QBs.
Dude is a video game on defense. In this era of versatile OB's and RB's you NEED dudes like him.

I could see some folks looking at his build and comparing him to leonard Floyd, Anthony Barr and/or dion jordan
but those are all guys I think that should have gone (or would have been better off with) to 3-4 teams and been an OLB
but with simmons I think he should be with a 4-3 team and let him line up in SAM or WILL in base if he has to be designated a spot, but really he’s allowing you to be in nickel from jump and you got 4 guys in front of him protecting him to a degree
He’s nothing at all like those 3 players.
Leonard Fournette, just another "generational" RB taken in the top 10 that turned out to be a horrible decision. Stop doing it, folks.
