My internal speaker blew out on my 15mbp (2012)
Anyone know what it cost for a repair?
No idea tbh. Do you have a 3rd party mac service shop near you? I would suggest checking them before going right to apple.

They'll tell you that soldering the RAM allows them to make the laptops thinner, but in reality it's just so you can't upgrade without buying a new laptop. All about the $$$.
See this is what I'm afraid of. I just read the Dell Reddit with someone who has the newest XPS 13 and it seems some of the issues the previous models had still remain.I'll never buy another Dell. I don't give a damn what they put under the hood. They don't even have a competent customer service department.
It would've expired already.Do you have Apple Care?
No, everyone is waiting for a refresh on the MacBook Pros. The assumption is that the MacBooks and possibly the MacBook Airs would get a silent refresh. It would've expired already.
My MBP is also also from 2012. It had an issue a couple months after Apple Care was up
It's on its last leg. Now it has a heating issue.
Has Apple stated the new gen of MacBooks yet?

NT famb I need ya help
I have a mid 2010 MacBook pro 13" (I know broke boy life) it needs a new battery BAD!
But I wanna do the hard drive upgrade from my 256 HD to a 500+ gb SSD
And I wanna upgrade the RAM to 8 or 16gb from the 4gb that it has already
My question is, will making these upgrades to my MBP 13 make a huge difference?
I just need something faster and smoother.

I've had a Magic Mouse 2 since last November and have only charged it about 3 times . I use it 40+ hours/week. The finger gestures are very useful and it looks cool.Is the magic mouse and keyboard all that its cracked up to be? Or are there better options out there?
