The Official NBA Season Thread: Las Vegas Summer League

Zion needs better people around him man...a simple NDA would have avoided this whole mess. He has a lot of maturing to do.

If he was smart enough to have NDAs he wouldn't have a fat clause in his contact or use snapchat with his government name.

Ja and Zion don't even hang around their teammates but they gonna have a group of trusted advisors.

This better people logic doesn't hold weight in 2023 the stars are the idiots/bad influences.

He’s in a dilemma now…Could just wife the joint he knocked up but she already causing yo headaches just by association and the public still won’t let him live…But if he gets a new random more wholesome joint he gotta deal with his BM over that  :smh:

Should hit up PG13 and ask for help, he went thru the same ho to housewife rebrand

So when Zion tries to sneak off to the bathroom to text a pornstar he loves them, and enjoy a warm Dr. Pepper...

dacomeup dacomeup on ESPN this morning I saw Get Up had a segment discussing the the Wizards moving Beal. THEY are definitely lurking NT. I hope we got mentioned in the credits for starting the dialogue :smh:

Bradley Beal has a FIFTY SEVEN MILLION DOLLAR player option in 2026-27 and a 15% trade kicker. ON TOP OF THAT, they gave him a no trade clause. Only the tenth player in league history to receive a NTC, and the only active player to have one.

Moving him is going to be much easier said than done.

Think y’all putting too much into Zion caring about all this. All he gotta do is drop 30 in his first game back and this goes away.

TBH I think this is mostly just the internet getting jokes off. Ja was out here running around with baby pistols, fake guns, etc. along with all the other alleged incidents and he kept his endorsements. Zion was moving reckless with his celebrity and was careless about where he stuck his ****. Can't compare it to Tiger because there was no infidelity and can't compare it to Kobe because he was married and it was a rape allegation.

Zion's situation is a bad look but we'll forget about it over the next two weeks between the Finals rapping up, Ja's suspension being announced, the offseason chatter picking up and the draft.

-Suns likely to waive CP, but will explore trading him away first.
-CP and his agent left with meeting with impression the Suns he will be waived.
-A “prominent” Clippers player texted Haynes and said they want CP on the team.

Hm.

So no chance they can get CP3 back?

That’s what some were saying.

I am sure he will waive the kicker especially considering he has a NTC so it would be a team that he would want to go to. But his salary increases are why you have to move him now while the number is tradeable at $46.7MM for 2023-2024.

If the Heat don't win, they need to work something out for Dame or Beal. I know, I know - they are still playing for an NBA Championship but 28 other teams aren't and they are already thinking about it. The only player the Heat currently have signed through 2026-2027 is Herro so they actually seem well positioned to take him on. Same with Dame who has a $63.2MM player option in 2026-2027.

Stein said from his POV that be hard to do when the team just waived him. CP can explore and maybe sign for more than the minimum elsewhere (naturally the Lakers :rolleyes ).

Yea I never understood that because it’s so hard to do in the NBA. That waive then re-sign business.

But I guess there could be loopholes. I don’t remember it happening tho.
