The Russell Wilson trade is bad, but the initial response to it was positive because everyone assumed Russ was still a very GOODT! player and not the absolute dog**** he turned out to be.
The Timberwolves gutted a playoff team to bring in Rudy ******* Gobert, a max player you can't rely on come playoff time because he has the offensive repertoire of a new born deer and routinely gets cooked defensively in the playoff by basically anyone in his general vicinity.
You also hinder your best player in KAT by forcing him to play more on the perimeter to accommodate Rudy.
To top it off, you mortgage your future even further by giving up 4 FRPs for said max player who is basically unplayable in the playoffs.
