man i was dead wrong about CWood joining the mavs. I thought he’d be the stretch big and rim protector they needed for their starting 5. swore that pick up last off-season would’ve done wonders for them

whatever the case is, do the mavs need to do a luka sign and trade before he walks in free agency? media turning on him could prompt him to say **** it and leave when he has a chance

ppl were eating up those wild rumors about his girl and kid :smh:

People were dead *** making content off that **** and it literally came from a RANDOM twitter account.

The same thing happened last year when a RANDOM YouTube account sparked madness about an incident w/ a popular player that wasn't substantiated at all...and ****** ate it the **** up because the lie was more provocative (Not even gonna bring it up):smh:

the adam silver treatment

should’ve replaced him with dolan
Dolan hasn’t been a detriment to the team in the last 5-6 years. Umm, I can’t even remember his last interview or commentary regarding the team.

Dude has largely been ghost besides fangirling over Randle earlier this szn.

Rightfully so the country blues legend ain’t even in the picture:tongue:

Luka's got growing up to do. Got some real looking into the mirror time ahead of him. His body language, his leadership, his level of participation defensively and his conditioning, how emotionally wound up he allows himself to get in officiating... All problems to varying degrees.

He's got some **** going on off the court that obviously factor in here and you've gotta sympathize with it - but the on-court stuff has been obvious for awhile now.

You can watch the end of the Atlanta game and stretches throughout the year where it's OBVIOUS he can defend at a high enough level to be functional within a good defensive unit. He doesn't have to be a hinderance. But he often is - whether it's failing to get back because he's barking or mad at calls or just straight up refusal to get into a defensive stance.

It's hard not to look at the down-the-stretch results here and wonder how much his approach and leadership has contributed to some of the loafing around and half-assed efforts from the secondary guys.

It all goes so far beyond the stupidity of "Kyrie and Luka was never gonna work" narratives that people have latched onto. Offensively - it's working. And it's working at a wildly efficient level. The secondary guys and young guys RAVE ABOUT Kyrie as a leader, a mentor, whatever.

Roster has obvious issues that need to be addressed -- but some of it doesn't matter unless the kid at the top of it all doesn't take multiple steps forward mentally with his approach to the game on and off the court.
