McGrady wasn't close to his prime at all. By that time he was well on his way downhill due to shoulder and knee surgeries. He didn't even play in the Playoffs with Artest and was traded the following season where he was washed as hell post micro fracture surgery

Just a very likeable team with some legit greats. Who didnt like Yao and Tmac.

McGrady was already 2 years removed from being an All-Star and had multiple surgeries on his shoulder and knee

The 2008-2009 season had so many dope great teams that "deserved" it more than the Rockets

Cavs had prime LeBron. Magic had prime Howard. Celtics were coming off their title and still cruising until Garnett hurt his knee after the All Star break

Lakers had a still prime-ish Kobe, Nuggets had the best team of the Carmelo era, Spurs/Mavs were still the Spurs/Mavs

That Rockets team aint really deserve **** but they gave the Lakers a good fight

Sheed woulda got his vs that warriors team and the same way the Warriors don't have to Ben, the Pistons don't have to guard Dray. Warriors still got too much offense though. They got the 2 best players.

You can’t just not guard Dray though. He’s a part of all their action. Too good of a passer and dangerous on slips.

Not going to start a McGrady bash.. I get it- he's likable and it sucks that he underachieved Playoffs wise.. But that team and era of Rockets ball was what it was

McGrady first year with Houston he had that dunk over Bradley. That was literally grand opening grand closing. Bruh had a pitiful game 7 and got they backs blown out

Then Jazz owned they *** for the next 2 years

People can like those teams, cool... but I see we gonna put rose colored glasses on while they reflecting on it

That particular squad with metta was their best team. Even without Mac, they were tough. Pushed Lakers to 7 even with yao being injured in gm1 and eventually not able to finish the series.

Dubs are also physically bigger. People still underestimate how big Steph really is
