I understand they went further than any Clips squad ever had before with him but all the talk surrounding them immediately after their trades was exclusively about winning rings, not just getting further in the playoffs.

Given everything surrounding the trade, what they gave up, and how things went it's hard not to look back at it as anything less than a failure or missed opportunity at best

Yeah, by the only rings matter standard, it was a failure. But injuries played a huge part in that.

And what was the alternative? Ride with the Trezz, Lou Will and SGA core. Pretty unlikely they would have accomplished more with than the PG/Kawhi group, right?

He's kinda stuck between positions like Mobley. Kinda too soft to play center, maybe not quite skilled enough to play power forward.
