Not enough, AT ALL.

And they know this. Russ has been inconsistent, more good than bad this season, though. We have that lineup with the same injury and covid luck and we're at best around the same record this season. Bron getting hurt at the beginning of the season still set us back early on and he'd literally be in the same position, probably worse now with AD out/or when he goes to the bench. Like we've watched this team for 3 seasons with the ancillary pieces around those 2 stars.

Bruh no, stop. We almost on the same page, we reading the same book. This Russ thing gotta let it go.

Schroder was terrible in the playoffs. Kuz wasn't the same since his friends got traded. Trez ain't fit and twice we saw him get exposed in the playoffs. They had to go. Woulda been nice to keep KCP and Caruso but that's not enough. There really wasn't any small moves to make. The Kings was asking for too much for Buddy.

They needed to get a star, they wanted Dame but that ain't happen. They tried with Russ and it's a mess.
The only takeaway from last season's playoffs should be that AD playing 19 min in Game 4, missing Game 5, and playing 5 minutes in Game 6 was the reason the team lost. Schroder's performance is irrelevant.

If they don't have both Bron and AD, they aren't going to win no matter who is on the roster. Adding a historically bad playoff performer in Russ isn't helping anything.

And again, Schroder/Kuzma/Horton/Trez all could've been moved for different pieces without changing the entire identity of the team.

I totally get wanting Dame, who would fit perfectly, but not getting him shouldn't mean that you all of the sudden should settle for a big name that doesn't fit with Bron and AD whatsoever.

Eh, he cost us the game yesterday. He's won us a few others in the season. He was bad to start the year, started to get into a groove for a while and now has been up and down every game.

I'm moving goal posts but it would've been in a better spot than whatever the team is right now at least.
You'd be a better shooting team, and MUCH better defensively. It isn't rocket science

Bron/AD/Buddy/KCP/Caruso is 1000% yielding better results than Bron/AD/Russ/whatever else.

Good question. You think Buddy with role players woulda been enough and it ain't.

You keep ac and Kcp and you move tht kuzma . You have better defense and better three point shooting . What does Westbrook bring that that ac and Kcp can’t do ? Ac does everting Westbrook does without taking 20 shots and 5 turnovers while lock-in up

Meh, as bad as the Lakers have been playoff Bron is different. Now, year 19 playoff Bron? Idk about that. I think theyll be a better playoff team but thats not saying much from what weve seen.

Bro. Russ really went down the timeline last night when he was trending and blocked everyone. He even blocked the last few individuals who were supporting him. This is hilarious

This chick is about to kill herself

Mans put up a quadruple double last night

I was told Caruso can’t play point guard and lebron didn’t want to either BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE

That team wouldn't have scored enough. Who was gonna step up when Lebron went out? Who would be the 2nd guy now that AD is out? They would be better on defense but they woulda had to play lights out hold teams in the 90's - 105 to win.

The reality is with Bron's wear and tear at times and AD being injury you have to plan for that. That's why it's hard to consitently win rings. **** happens. If they only get one ring in Lebron's run as a Laker I'm good with that considering where we were before he made that decision. Dudes thought he just went to LA to shoot movies and retire.

All these questions apply to this team as is because of the dumbass trade, but at the least they would've been elite on defense (and with the updated officiating they might been more elite this season).

I think they’re trying to convince themselves that the Westbrook trade was necessary?

It’s interesting when I think about what the prevailing narratives were right after last season’s playoffs, i.e. the Suns were lucky frauds and would have gotten handled in the first round by the Lakers if AD was healthy. If that was true, I’m not sure why anyone have felt the Lakers needed to make dramatic roster changes in the off-season.

And the same people now claiming last season’s Lakers roster wasn’t built to compete still are questioning whether the current best teams in the West are really that good.
