Rick Ross Officially Delays "God Forgives, I Don't" To 2012

After stating that it was possibly pushed back, a Def Jam executive confirms that the album will arrive next year.
Yesterday, Rick Ross revealed that the December 13th release date for his new album God Forgives, I Don't wasn't set in stone. Now, Island Def Jam Senior VP of Marketing Chris Atlas confirms that the album will not arrive this year and that it's been officially delayed to "around first quarter, early second quarter" of 2012.
"I think we're all aware of his recent health issue, and based on some of the minor setbacks with that, we weren't able to confirm certain opportunities, because he physically wasn't able to deal with certain things at the time," Atlas told Billboard.com. "We want this to be his biggest albums - we know it's going to be his biggest album - so we did not want to pressure him into releasing an album based on the sake of a date."
During an interview with MTV's RapFix Live, Ricky Rozay said that he wasn't sure if the album would meet its deadline and that if he really wanted to, he could put out the LP on time.
"If I wanted to, I'm pretty sure I could still meet that date, but I think for the people, it's more important [to lay groundwork] for when I get out there and look them in the face and touch them hands," he explained. "We've just gotta lay ground for it, and I'mma keep y'all updated."
