The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 US Open)

Yikes. Ruud fell apart in the tiebreak. He had a set point in that third set too.

Congrats Alcaraz. He sent every opponent to Alcatraz lol.

What a tournament for the 19-year old. A star in the making for sure.

Thank you Maestro

Wild watching someone's entire career play out...

Truly one of the greatest athletes of all time. Was a pleasure to watch him perform and his level of success and professionalism throughout the duration of his career was remarkable.

Rafa still my favorite player but I liked the way Roger played... he was so graceful on the court... I was hoping he would make a comeback but he had a great career

Rafa is my favorite tennis player of all time but in the prime of their careers no men's tennis player was as dominant as Federer, especially at Wimbledon, where he won 5 titles in a row in the early 2000s.

It was an absolute honor watching him for over 2 decades. Salute to an all time great. Federer was the Master. Legit Obi Wan Kenobi Ultra Jedi status 🐐

The knee must be in pretty bad shape for Fed to only commit to playing one doubles match.

Getting the tissues ready for once the doubles swansong match ends. Somebody will be cutting onions.

I'm still bummed Roger retired. I really am not going to see him go for one more US Open win anymore. Wtf.
