The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 US Open)

Carlos absolutely crushed the ball today... was so aggressive.

Let's see if both guys can keep it up for Shanghai!

Both are mental giants. Thought Carlos got the first tiebreak but Sinner clutched up. Carlos played well on the 1st and could’ve just unraveled but tied it up 1-1. On the 3rd set TB, I thought Sinner was gonna take it after being up 3-0 looking good then Carlitos just went 7 straight to end the match. Wish we got this at the USO instead of Fritz.

I missed the ladies final, but I was expecting a more competitive scoreline considering how well Muchova's been playing.

Man this had me emotional  😅

Gonna feel really weird not having my favorite player of all time involved anymore but it was coming and I hope he manages to have a wonderful and fulfillling retirement. Hope his body gets all the time it needs to recover too because its been taken a beating for 20+ years straight.

His evolution from that energetic and aggressive long haired kid who was always giving peak Fed trouble to an elder statesman of the game and influence to the newer generations these last few years has been awesome to see :pimp:

Underappreciated part of his game outside of the physical/technical side was the he was a mentality monster and of the most fiercely determined individuals I've ever seen at this level of sport.

Gonna miss the hell out of him.

That's now 3 of the big 4 gone, will never forget that era of the mens game :pimp:

Good time for him to call it a day, nothing left to prove or ruin his legacy with sub-par performances and embarrassing losses.

Just found out about the Rafa news. It's really coming :(

Thanks for all memories!

Another title for Me.
An entertaining final, especially in the 1st, where the quality was quite high. Came down to a few points/shots that Novak missed in the TB. After that, the quality dropped, but I was too solid.

Thank you for your congratulations, fans.
