The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Really need to get Last of Us started along with Uncharted Collection but I keep playing The Show i'll be sitting there playing for hours and not even realize it :lol

Nintendo dropping bombs tonight. Seriously considering a preorder based on RPG content alone.
Slowly catching up with the news. Wiill watch the Easy Allies Livestream for it.
All I've read so far is complaints about the price and paid online which doesn't sound like it'll be there for launch.

I'm guessing the bombs were the games, whats the launch lineup?
Oh maybe they just impressed me, then.

Project Octopath (Square Enix RPG)

Shin Megami Tensei

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Dragon Quest X, XI, Heroes 1, and Heroes 2

Fire Emblem Warriors

"Tales of " game rumored

Along with Zelda and Mario which both look cool and with the ability to be mobile...

Maybe I had low expectations.
I understand the outrage but you're right, so far the JRPG support is looking real good. I'll still cop DQ XI on PS4 though, I gotta get them trophies

Both Zelda and Mario look like game of the generation type games to me. I haven't seen a Mario game that interesting looking since Super Mario 64.

My biggest complaint is the pro controller cost $70

Anyone here play Dying Light ?

My supervisor was telling me about it like it's the best thing ever. I told him if he likes survival/zombie/apocalypse games, he should check out The Last Of Us, because I guarantee he would would never touch DL again if he played TLOU. Dude got super defensive and brushed it off

Should I check it out ?
TLOU and DL are so different. DL's gameplay is better than TLOU's gameplay. TLOU's story is better than DL's story.

DL is all about parkour/meleeing zombies, leveling up and having fun.

Easily one of this gen's best games.

Now,

It's really apples and orenges when trying to compare both. But both games are great at what they set out to do

I wanted to pick up dying light on sale, but I swear for some stupid reason they don't have the original game on PSN, just the DLC.

I might have to check it out one day. I'd get a used one now if my backlog wasn't so crazy.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

So I finally caught up :lol

I think if you're a hardcore fan or had low expectations then it's great but it just doesn't seem like they learned from the past.

Paid online but voice chat and other features through an app on your phone instead of a native app. Even Vita had this 5 years ago.

You get one free NES or SNES game per month but only for that month while PS+ gives you like 6 games which you have as long as you keep the sub

Console and Accessory prices :x :x :x
Even Games are more expensive. Zelda is £60 and MK8 is £50 compared to £40 for PS4 games.

Launch lineup is underwhelming with only 5 games and even the line up for the rest of the year is underwhelming too.
I was also expecting more Japanese third party since this is meant to be the 3DS replacement and indie games.

Wii-U had a barren year so most thought they were saving games up for this year.

On a positive note, no region locking so people won't need two devices.

AGDQ speedrun of Dark Souls 3 about to start 8o

I know there are a lot of fans of that game in here.. I'm so addicted to GDQ marathons Lmaoooo :smokin

I went to pre-order at a local shop and they left me standing there for 10 minutes then siad I would have to come back later. I took that as a sign.

I didn't realize it had so few launch games.

Opened up and cleaned my PS4 fan... but surprisingly (and thankfully), it wasn't that dusty, despite how dusty my room can get.  Only vacuumed the vents a few times since the original release.

I finally beat Dark Souls 3 and Nameless King :smokin

Did you beat the DLC? Also before you NG get whatever you missed or overlooked. Upgrade convenants, farm some shards, any missed spells, rings.
No not yet. I'm still debating if I want to buy it or not. I don't really buy DLC often.

I will collect everything that I can before NG tho. Unfortunately I missed the mound makers covenant.
