The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I know

My only "gripes" with the game is that I wish there was a status bar to follow on when you're going to level up or a life bar for the monster you're trying to kill.

Jurytodas was annoying to kill lol. And I'm unsure if I should focus on one specific weapon or farm to make all the weapon options good.
Use lightening he is the first monster i had on farm status. There is kind of a life bar for monsters right under its pic. I focused on one weapon tree (lightening bow) trying to do to many will have you frustrated lol

When you say lightning, do you mean using a weapon that has lightning or something else? lol

Honestly can't see myself getting into MHW

Ish seems like a job of micromanagement/farming. Wish I had bread to just pay someone to level my dude up and stack items and then just jump in and enjoy the the amazing looking world and taking down the awesome looking beasts

In before the purists tell me it wouldn't be as rewarding. Yes I know this already

This pretty much confirms. TLOU Part 2 isn't coming out until 2019.

-God Of War April 20
-Detroit May 25
-Spiderman probably Late August or mid Sept. No way Sony or anyone else wants to go up against RDR2 in late Oct going into the holiday season.
-Days Gone. Probably getting delayed to early 2019 (Feb to April) release window. No new info recently, game demo wasn't playable at PSX last Dec.
-Dreams. Probably summer 2019 release window.
-TLOU Part 2. Fall holiday 2019 release. Sony will probably show a new trailer and has a demo playable at E3 and Comicon this year. But will wait until PSX to give the official release date.

Sony is killing the game.

I still think Days Gone drops this year and TLOU 2 drops Summer 2020. I also think it could depend on the PS5 release date. Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsunima look like they could be launch titles.

People actual care about Dreams :emoji_thinking:

- PS5 November 15, 2019 launch.

No guarantee RDR2 even releases this year.

Would suck if a new PS console were to release so soon as well.

Nah I think 2020 is more likely for PS5.

Sony's history is they always have a major exclusive game releasing towards the end of a console gen.

PS2 era: God Of War II
PS3 era: The Last Of Us

Well the other thing about PS5 is that Sony has such a lead with this gen that they can act reactionary to Microsoft and wait for them to announce something. Also I remember a Sony rep saying that this gen might last a while and the pro is sort of a stepping stone for that. Nothing big tech wise for TVs is on the horizon where they would want to push sales of televisions.

2020 is on the early side. 2021 or 2022 is the higher probability. Unless Microsoft announces something sooner of course.

It would be smart for them to let Xbox release first next gen.

Is VR projected to be more mainstream next generation?

It depends on what new/future gaming IP takes advantage of it AND becomes a big success.

Because just like how Nintendo has phased out the "Wii's spammed motion controls" for a more subtle gyro motion with the Switch, and how both Microsoft & Sony have abandoned the Kinect and the Move respectively..........VR will be nothing but a glorified gimmick like motion controls UNTIL a really good game explodes worldwide to make it a mainstream sensation.

It don't matter if it is towards the end of this generation OR the start of the next generation of consoles, that is up to gaming devs to develop and discover that golden gem that'll make VR mainstream.

Haven't gone home yet. Working the night shift and I'll report tomorrow...Idk even which weapon has lightning lol.

I'm currently using the Juryatodus dual blades.
Oh ok i gotcha im a night shift worker too smh. On the weapon trees you will see little elements on them. Upgrade accordingly.
