My only "gripes" with the game is that I wish there was a status bar to follow on when you're going to level up or a life bar for the monster you're trying to kill.
Jurytodas was annoying to kill lol. And I'm unsure if I should focus on one specific weapon or farm to make all the weapon options good.
there's a status bar for levelling up, it's just that early on you are level locked until you finish a certain part of the story, there is a point where the cap is removed and you get to level up as much as you want
with that said, even if you can't keep going up in level, I believe your experience is saved so once that cap is removed, you'll just level up 10-20 ranks depending on how much you farmed
its also MH tradition not to have life bars for monsters, hell before they do not even show the damage you give out, its all about feeling it out and seeing how the monsters moving
the bar on the left is mostly for monster exhaustion, not a life bar but if you do pay attention to the map on the lower left, you'll see a skull flashing by the monster if it is weak and can be captured
early on, water and lightning weapons can get you through the whole game but if you're on HR, focus on gear as that's you defense and it's upgradeable
you can worry about getting other elements for your weapons once you're through the story

Yeah MH:W really is easy if you are really detailed oriented. Is the monster limping? Near death. Is the monster running home and when he got there did he sleep? Near Death. Capturing monsters is where its at. So rewarding

Just copped UFC 3 from the psn sale. I’m sure the price is going to get even lower but I’ve been itching to play a fighting game. Loved 1 but skipped 2 cuz it was trash. Just gotta get a feel for the controls and schemes which will take some time at first. I’ve been getting wrecked by the computer so far. Seems like I can’t even get a simple 1 2 off without getting flurried and KO’d lol.
But EA needs to quit messing around and bring back FIGHT NIGHT. No one can see me on Fight night round 3 or Fight night Champion back in the day. All my friends hated me caused I’d work the body and they couldn’t stop it lol.
