Kinect 2.0!

:lol

No you're getting that maybe from that little rectangular thing Sony copied probably.

Anyway...

I don't know why MS or Sony is putting so much into that stupid motion sensing technology when everyone thought it was a fad with the Wii.

I don't think that will be a big seller this generation like it was last generation.

And to dudes up top talking about why Sony bumped up to 8GB it's because they wanted to compete or match what MS was going to put into the NextBox

All this hoopla and :eek over Sony and MS having powerful machines don't mean a damn thing if the games aren't fun and have you coming back to play constantly.

The PS2, Xboy, Gamecube generation's major blockbuster was GTA, the PS3, 360, Wii generation was COD and neither of those games looked the most polished or had no where near the best graphics that other games had, but they were fun, easy to pick up and learn, great time waster, and kept you coming back to play more and more when these companies will learn it isn't about graphics and all that power hoopla crap I don't know.

Yeah it's nice don't get me wrong and in a way it is justifiable to have all that graphics but they have to learn that gamers of yesteryear grew up and have other things that are more important so video games are just an afterthought and a time waster for many.

I really think Sony should have made that controller touchscreen in the middle. I curious to see what NextBox is going to be and look like, but all the major publications said that NextBox and PS4 will virtually be the same thing with only their exclusives setting them apart and online capabilities.

I'm also interested in the SteamBox too...

I wonder if its going to be a new PSN, new ID, trophies, friends, etc...

Man I love Killzone. It's not COD, which make alot of people hate it.

I like the story, the heaviness of controlling the character, and the quality of the gameplay.

Not the most polished, but probably one of the funnest MP of any FPS, in my opinion.

Still early-days, but things are looking good.  I really need Polyphony to step up their game!

Anyway, among other things, I thought this was cool.

I personally hate killzone because im so used to call of duty. To me the gameplay is terrible and also after a couple of months nobody is on killzone anyways.

The ps3 and 360 still got life in them.

This is what I'm thinking.

From what we've seen so far, the graphics aren't that great of an improvement from the current gen's graphics.

maybe I'm skeptical because I'm not a gamer, but this could have been held off until 2014, IMO. Sony could have let Microsoft show their hand with their next XBOX, then drop the PS4. But that's just me.

Thats exactly what Sony DOESN'T want to do. Thats how they shot themselves in the foot last time.

Sony needs to come out of the gate running and hitting hard. Nintendo already jumped out there, Sony needs to be next, and they need to deliver hard this holiday season.

Microsoft needs to make sure they don't drop the ball. Because the PS4 graphics are looking amazing.

I'm seriously considering stopping PC gaming once I get a PS4

The event yesterday really was impressive, but felt a bit shallow. The games looked great, but nothing bout them were revolutionary. The biggest problem I had was that people left the conference talking about specs and graphics. There was no talk about any game play elements, just graphics. No one said, "Oh man, that game looks fun I can't wait to play that!" All people were hyping up were the graphics. Graphics don't sell systems!

Sony needs to provide consumers with something that keeps their attention. Their vision on what they will actually do with the system was muddled for me.

They focused a lot of energy talking about features they were HOPING to deliver on the PS4. For example.. the Gaikai streaming service. They HOPE to one day stream live games to an already defunct PS Vita. Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad idea? Who would want to pay extra money for a failed system in hopes Sony supports this functionality?

Sony HOPES Kill Zone and the rest of their games will reach the graphical prowess they showed yesterday. Sony is notorious for showing glorified tech demos only to release a game with half of the visual quality. They did it with the original Kill Zone for the PS3.

And my biggest problem is the price. Despite what anyone says, one of PS3's biggest flaws was the price. Most consumers are not paying $500+ for a gaming console. Sony needs to release this thing at around $400 for it to penetrate the market and take away steam from the Wii U and XBox. With the current specs it doesn't look like that will be the case.

I'll take a wait and see approach when it comes to the PS4 and at the end of the day games is all that matters. If the Sony can deliver the great games they'll be alright.

Thats because this was the Sony PS4 hardware unveiling event. Not E3.

You can't base your opinion on the hardware based off of the Titles you saw. You HAVE to base it on the graphics and the capabilities of the games. Not the games content, thats what E3 is for.

We can't say "None of those games look like the type of games I'd play so I don't like it".

Sony isn't making the games. They're making the hardware.

Everyone is talking about games this, games that, blah blah. This is about the CONSOLE. Would you judge a television by the shows you can watch? No. Judge the hardware by its capabilities, not by the developers who have nothing to do with the hardware.

But aside from that. This will be copped on RD. It looks amazing, and hopefully we'll get to judge the games at launch during E3. I can't wait to get this thing up and running this holiday season.

I can't wait to see what Microsoft has in store. I'm not banking on one console at all. Never have, and I never will. I will have all next gen consoles, again...

Gran Turismo will show us what this console can really do... Can't ******g wait...

I'm not completely sold on the PS4. Fanboys will praise Sony for all these "advancements" but what it really comes down to is system price and games. Developers usually don't hit their stride with these new systems until at least a year into a new system's life span.....I remember buying Xbox 360 on release date in November of 2005..and playing some of the worst games by far in it's vast catalogue in the first few months of it's launch...PS4 will still be competing with it's predecessor and the graphics on this system quite honestly are underwhelming in terms of what can be visually seen on a HD 1080p tv with an already existing PS3 or 360. I'm not knocking the PS4..but I do have some doubts...
