The RETRO Gaming Thread!

There were a quite a few Capcom arcade-only beat 'em ups. Their console ports weren't as good.

Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Alien Vs. Predator, Knights of the Round, Dungeons & Dragons, Captain Commando, Dynasty Wars, Punisher.

They all played and looked quite similar but were fun. My brother and I played a whole stack of them on a PC emulator in circa '99-'00.

Looked into the games in that list. D&D looks really dope.

All are excellent games, you'll enjoy 'em.

Was Aliens vs. Predator ever ported to console? That was probably my favorite arcade game growing up.

I don't think that the AVP arcade game was ported to the consoles. The Punisher 16bit ports weren't that great and AVP would've suffered too.

Like 90% of my Saturn games are scratched up. I was a dumb kid smh

Most of us were too, lol. I tossed out all types of games, systems and toys that I very much regret. And man, that Saturn Die Hard game is pricey. I'd get all those Saturn games resurfaced if I were you, it's win-win situation either way.

Anyone ever play Lunar Silver Star on Sega CD? Thinking about playing that after I finish OOT.

There is an issue with this Left shoulder button and the analog stick contacting each other in that video. You might want to wait for a V2 to come out.

That video also points out the analog stick doesn't have the same precision as the OG N64 analog. Not sure why it's so hard for them to mimic the original feedback as controller technology has improved tremendously.

Anyone here mess with Alien Soldier?

Played it for the first time tonight. Giving it a shot on easy after getting obliterated on hard (no normal difficulty.) Once you realize to use the homing force and learn some of the mechanics it isn't as savagely difficult.
