The Timepiece Thread vol: READ THE 1st POST!!!

The movement in that Bugatti Jacob is mind blowing.

Thinking about picking up a preowned datejust 41 soon. Any recommendations on good place to shop besides eBay?

I’ve bought multiples from davidsw and Nashvillewatch, best deals to be had from reputable sellers tbh. Rolexforum sales section is also a good starting point.

Pricing on Rolexforum is retail and more often than not, you can find those exact watches listed elsewhere for 5-10% less.

Wholesale groups on Facebook are your best bet in terms of pricing, but if you feel weird wiring money to a stranger on the internet, look at grey market dealers like OC Watch Guy (whom I bought my DD40 from).

one of my big watch purchases was an IWC portuguese chrono and i love it to death despite looking gigantic on my wrist and i always find something to love in each of their lines they just happen to be humoungous

but i am glad they are offering the new portuguese auto in 40mm (there's still a 42mm for those who love their big watches)

Cartier Pasha De Cartier In 41mm And 35mm

The relaunched Pasha will be available in two basic sizes – we have a 41mm model with date, and a 35mm model without; both can be had in steel, and gold as well

My coworker loves his IWCs, they are beautiful watches. If my next car is an Amg with the iwc clock I may have to pick one up.

Cartier Santos-Dumont XL

Cartier is introducing a larger size to the Santos-Dumont that delivers a very similar look, albeit it with a slightly increased, but not too much thicker, case. And at the heart of these three watches is a great hand-wound mechanical movement.

Anyone know of any reputable Seiko sellers? I'm interested in finding another SKX007 :nerd:

Cartier coming w/ some :emoji_fire: , that limited edition Santos-Dumont in particular. the case is platinum & they're only making 30 of them tho, don't eem know how you would get it. the asymmetric tanks are very kool aswell, not cheap either. the Pasha relaunch is boring TBH, the dials in particular. they would really benefit from having numbers being the same colour as the case IMO

the pasha seatimer with the rubber bracelet was going to be my first luxury watch purchase back then, just love how it looks

I purchased mine in February from longIslandwatch.com. Legit and mine came without a misaligned chapter ring. Would recommend. May I ask why your looking for another one?

I really like this piece in rose gold, Rolex & Cartier are different but the former's recent use of rose gold + rubbery materials reminded me of this Pasha Seatimer a bit:

yeah those have looked like a good buy in the past 4-5 months, is below 20 grand for a modern Rolex made of precious metals a good price or am I overvaluing it?
