The Ultimate Soccer Thread 2012-2013 Vol. 3 Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga etc

I actually thought the red card was the right decision:

218409

-2 Footed
-Both feet are off the ground
-Studs are slightly up (not as important in this case)

I thought the rules are, if both feet leave the ground for a two footed tackle it's a red. Especially if the studs were up.

Once again. Disappointed. 2 "exceptional players" for 15 mil?! :{

"But our way is a bit like Barcelona as well, to produce the core of the team from inside and add from outside the players who give really a plus."- Arsene Wenger

I'm wondering though (this is out of pure ignorance on my side) how many players from the youth team/academy have been brought up in the past year or two?

I think only Wilshere and Gibbs made it to the first team.

My countryman Kenwyne Jones might be headed to swansea...... I just want him to get consistent playing time... when crouch was brought in by stoke his playing time was very inconsistent

Won't be easy, with Graham still there. And I believe Laudrop came out in the public saying he doesn't plan on dropping him soon. But who knows what that means.

Szcz, Frimpong, Mannone, Coquelin.....Djourou and Bendter if you want to count them

he didnt go in with two feet though. if you rewatch the tackle, looks like he thought about both but last moment stuck with one.. i thought they got the call wrong

@YoungGunsBlog Told Reading have signed Stoppila Sunzu on 3-year-deal. Mazembe defender turned down chance to trial with Arsenal. £300k fee. Arsenal scouts liked Sunzu, but wanted closer look first, especially without work permit. 6'3 CB who can play DM. Talent.
Newcastle busy. Have made enquiries into Aubameyang, Aliadière, de Jong, Yanga-Mbwia and Haïdara.
QPR expected to follow up Rémy deal with Yann M'Vila. Sky say medical Thursday. £8m-£9m fee. Arsenal pulled out due to attitude.
Told it's all quiet at Arsenal on transfer front. Desire to do business, but Theo Walcott's new deal seemingly the priority.

its all about the angle with the kompany tackle, there was also a picture on twitter sunday that showed wilshere going down before contact was made

Was this discussed? Apologies if so but kudos to Neymar for staying in Brazil (like Ganso)...Truthfully, I haven't watched a lot of the Brazilian league. Is it good like that?

So our chances of CL lies with Walcott?! Oh. Dang, and all this time I thought they lied with Van Persie. :{

That's what I was getting at when I said he has the upper hand :{
Well in a sense, no one is really interested in buying him right now. Dude has his head up his ***

Money. He's still very young and he's literally Lebron James over there.

Wenger pick up a pen son!! Even if you signing for a new ball boy anything to get you in the buying mood.

Two target to QPR? C'mon son.

Remy and M'Vila just want to get to England.

Once teams see how they are doing, they might snatch them up during the summer.

It's actually kind of good to have the risks taken on them by a team like QPR, because we all know if they are relegated, they will DEFINITELY be sold.

Remy is who we need on Arsenal, we can do without M'Vila.

We seriously need to clear out MANY players.

These are players I think we should cut or push to sell.

Squillaci (500k-1mill quid)
Arshavin (3-5 mill quid
Ramsey (4-6 mill quid)
Park Chu-Young (2-3 mill quid)
Chamakh (3-4 mill quid)
Djourou (3-4 mill quid)

That's anywhere from 15.5-23 mill quid we can get from those bums + wages.

They are all a waste of space and money.

You could sell them all for that and spend that money on a few REALLY good players.

Put me in charge of transfers, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, Arsenal.

AW has tried offloading all those players minus Park and Ramsey, but their wages are so demanding that the deals always break down. They could have been sold over the summer and some before. That's why 2-3 pf them will be free transfers this summer.

@Sandeep725 One point of vague interest to Gooners. Asked Mr. Auclair about Francis Coquelin and why he doesn't play more. Mentioned attitude problems.

:lol interesting about that article because there's this http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8398611/
