i think wayne rooney will leave in the summer

I will drive him to Paris personally

It would be a shame, cause when in form, he's the heart of United.

But I could see how SAF could sell him, bring in Strootman, and another attacking midfielder, putting Kagawa in his position, and rotating RVP with Falcao (I doubt that will ever happen- but let's entertain the rumour for a split second) Chicha and Welbeck.

I still think players like Chicha will be irritated because we all know how SAF has a soft spot for Welbeck. With someone like RVP up front, you know SAF will always choose him, and if a big striker like Falcao or Lewandowski or any major player comes, it'll make Chicha's life a bit more difficult.

More than anything, I'd keep Rooney and get rid of Young, Anderson, Nani and look for Carrick's (32 next season) replacement.

Luka Modric and Arda Turan would be my signings if I was playing Football Manager

If I was SAF, I would def put in a bid for Modric. He'll probably come cheaper than, if he was straight from Spurs (Levy adding on a EPL tax to other clubs).
He's exactly the sort of player United need.

Fixed.

I hope not.. I cant image wayne at another club :frown:

I agree. I don't follow British soccer but Rooney is to Man U what Raul was to Madrid...which means even when they bring other strikers around they will still find a way to keep him and place him somewhere where he can contribute. Rooney will always be Man U like Giggs and Scholes.

To be fair, he's like 35 now. Doesn't really have that burst to elude challenges anymore, and goes missing as players of his type tend to, but still classy on the ball and with the pass. Still wish he could have made it at Barca, but van Gaal had no use for a specialist playmaker who didn't track back.

Boca were pretty much overrun in this game, but they've been poor lately anyway. I doubt they do much in the next round. Argentine football has fallen off in recent years - too many sides designed to be functional rather than aesthetic, but they just end up being neither. The set-up as a whole seems to not have been the same since Pekerman left.

.

Agreed

Riquelme was also misunderstood. He wanted to play on his terms like so many Latin players do (Ortega, Robinho, Aimar and Redondo).

Messi has a team catered for him so he is happy.
Veron's dad was a coach so he had that team mentality and thus success in Europe.

Rooney is from Everton academy he's a Liverpool kid I don't think he would care leaving Manchester. And if he joins another team he could play cf and score loads instead of having to play every position down the middle

New Chelsea jersey. I like that they went back to the white. I still don't really like the gold from this year. Looks to similar to my champions league kit from last year to cop, I'll see how the away looks

Would love Modric at United. Jersey would be copped in a heartbeat

Do you guys think a player like Fellaini would do well at United? From the Everton games ive seen he can play anywhere down the middle, granted ive only seen like 2 and in one he was playing CM/CDM and this past week vs Arsenal he was more attacking... He's tall, strong, and I see him EVERYWHERE on the pitch

I personally like Reus..

For me, the young Germans go Ozil > Muller > Reus/Kroos > Gotze > the rest

Muller is my favorite out of the bunch

Nah. I own this years kit. The gold is perfect. Especially considering we're European Champs. The gold sets it off perfectly.

This new one is very blah. At least it means this years kit should be going on sale so I can buy another one. :smokin

Always wanted him at Madrid.

Who do you guy rate higher for the future: Gotze or Reus?

I can't see how Neymar would be leaving before the 2014 World Cup.

Rooney has said numerous times, he wants nothing more than to finish his career at United. He's always said he loves United. Unless he's kicked out, I can't see where else he'd want to be. Consistent Champions League footy, League Trophies, big Cup matches, massive Derby matches, new investment in talent (Kagawa, RVP, Powell etc), 225k a week (I believe) and surrounding areas that he and the family is used to. Makes sense why he loves it at United. Also you do realize that Rooney actually likes to play more as a second striker than as a CF up front? He prefers to play slightly deeper, and have a strike partner. Where he's currently playing (in Kagawa's spot) is exactly where Rooney likes to play, and where he's best.

Amazing how Gremio have so many quality (and big name) players on their roster and are struggling to get out of the first round of the Libertadores...

Andre Santos
Ze Roberto
Dida
Hernan Barcos
Eduardo Vargas
Facundo Bertoglio
Welliton
Thiago Martins (who has been kicked out of the first team)

To me Ozil can't even be put in the same category because he's already established himself. Out of Muller, Reus, Kroos, and Gotze, I like Mario's game the most.
