That Wigan-Arensal should be good. Arsenal fight for CL. Wigan fighting to stay up in the PL is coming off their FA Cup stunner.

parade bus for the CHAMP20NS... :hat

1000

That bus looks nice especially with that Swoosh. I'm confident now that the Gunners have sign with puma that Nike will be able to keep supplying kits to Man U. I have a feeling it's going to be a monster deal that will keep the Reds wearing Swoosh for quite some time which is the way it ought to be.

Wigan has a pretty difficult challenge to fight off relegation. If I'm not mistaken, they have to beat Arsenal & Aston Villa to avoid relegation right?

Liverpool's Coutinho continues to impress me. I think he had assists for at least 2 of Sturridge's goals yesterday, a hat trick no less. I think Liverpool has scored something like 13 points since Suarez has been suspended. :x

Someone asked what everyone is doing for the CL. I talked to my son yesterday & he wants to get wings, Doritos, & Twizzlers to watch the game (I love that lil guy). He's conflicted on who to root for because 2 of his favorite teams are playing...

I like Bayern, but I'm kinda rooting for Kloop... I have a ton of family that were stationed in Germany that are now BM fans so I kinda grew up watching them...BM & World Cup 86 were my first futbol experiences...

PSG's futbol director Leonardo is having a bad couple of weeks. First he pushes a ref in the tunnel on May 5th & he collapsed yesterday after celebrating PSG's title & had to be rushed to the hospital but not before he had a dust up with Ibrahimovic.

I swear Ibrahimovic must've been a marauding viking or barbarian warrior in a previous life. He just seems like he's on the same level or Super Mario only keeps his ish behind closed doors...

Red Devil fans, what say you about this latest rumor? Cesc to Man U? I just hope they isn't any stupid talk of Shrek coming to Camp Nou...

Cesc Fabregas in Manchester United's sights but Arsenal have first option on ex-skipper
EXCLUSIVE: Spaniard would be happy to return to Premier League

Manchester United have launched a stunning bid to sign former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas from Spanish champions Barcelona.

Standard Sport understands United are determined to make a huge signal of intent, following Sir Alex Ferguson’s decision to retire, by luring Fabregas to Old Trafford while they are also attempting to buy back Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

It is believed contact has been made with Barcelona over Fabregas, who swapped the Emirates Stadium for the Nou Camp in a £35million deal just two years ago. Barcelona still owe the Gunners £5m of that fee and would be looking to recoup at least £20m for the Spain international.

Fabregas has struggled to make much of an impact at the Catalan giants and has been under heavy criticism from the club’s fans for his performances this season.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been regularly left out of the starting XI, although he was picked for the 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid last night with the La Liga title already won.

Barcelona are keen to make changes to the squad following their humiliating 7-0 aggregate defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final and are ready to listen to offers.

Fabregas would be happy to return to the Premier League, where he made a huge impact during his eight years in an Arsenal shirt.

It has been reported Arsenal inserted a clause when they sold Fabregas to Barcelona to ensure they had first option on buying him back, while Arsene Wenger said last January that he believed the player would return to Emirates one day. “I’m not convinced that he will not one day come back here because he is a real Arsenal man,” added the Gunners boss. “He loves Arsenal, he watches every Arsenal game.”

United want to strengthen the midfield as they look to retain the League title next season under new manager David Moyes while also competing for the Champion League.

Paul Scholes has retired, Anderson is expected to be sold, Darren Fletcher’s future is uncertain because of an on-going health issue and Phil Jones’s future is at centre-half.

Michael Carrick is United’s main playmaker but he turns 32 in July. Fabregas has been identified as a key acquisition and United’s interest will stun Arsenal, who are expected to spend big themselves this summer.

It remains to be seen whether they will try to exercise their option on Fabregas and use up a lot of their budget on just one player.

Fabregas admitted following Barcelona’s victory last night that he hadn’t been at his best since joining them. “I have to improve, I need to be self-critical once the season ends but I’m young and I can do it,” he said.

United, who beat Swansea 2-1 yesterday to give Ferguson the perfect send-off in his last game in charge at Old Trafford, are confident they can buy back Ronaldo from Real.

Ronaldo is refusing to sign a new contract at the Spanish club and his current deal has two years left to run.

The Portugal international has scored 200 goals for Real since joining from United for £80m in 2009 but is unsettled at the Bernabeu. He played a huge part in Ferguson’s side claiming nine major honours during his six years there, including three League titles and the Champions League in 2008.

Despite Ferguson’s claim that Wayne Rooney is not for sale, it is understood United will listen to offers for the England international. After leaving Rooney out of his squad to face Swansea yesterday, Ferguson said the striker had asked for a transfer.

As Standard Sport revealed last week, United do not want to sell him to a Premier League rival and Paris St-Germain are the strong favourites for his signature.

Former United defender Gary Neville has warned Rooney there is nowhere better to play his football than Old Trafford and believes the player needs to be guided properly by the people who know him best.

“Wayne needs to surround himself with his family and his players. The ones who have been here for a long time will bring him round,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“He is not someone who will make rash decisions but he needs people around him to give him good advice. This is the only club he should be playing at. If you play for this club for 20 years it is not a bed of roses. You struggle mentally at times. He will be going through a difficult moment.

Neville will become Rooney’s coach later this month for England friendly internationals against Republic of Ireland and Brazil.

I think that Cesc rumour is just to sell papers...

With Arsenal's first right of refusal and Wengers love for him, I don't see how on earth he'd end up at United.

If we're going to pull a cheeky random bid, let's see what's up with Marco Reus or Modric or Strootman or El Sharaarawy or Dzeko

Yeah that cesc rumour seems to be a ploy to drive his price up for arsenal.

The reus for dzeko trade seems reasonable since lew will be gone.

City is after another winger in Jesus navas. Seems like Sinclair may be the odd man out due to injuries I almost feel bad for the guy.

Sinclair will be gone before August.

He should have NEVER moved there. Was the worst idea. Went from guaranteed starter to never starting.

Surprised he didn't learn from Johnson

Brighton/Palace, the other Championship playoff, is still 0-0 after 155 minutes of the tie. Brighton just hit the bar then had a header cleared off the line. Game on beIN.

Edit: Zaha scores with 20 left.
