Us Clippers fans all loved him last season and knew he had all-star potential, but he’s progressing even faster than I thought. He’s got more of a bag on offense than I figured would in year 2.
If Chris Paul gets traded or injured I can see him having Ingram type production

were you on Niketalk back then? Because people were saying what they’re saying now, back then.

Not in S&T. I used to lurk tho. But in real life and the sports talk....what I was hearing holds true.

Ironically, what made me start posting on NT was the stupid “all Blake Griffin does is dunk” narrative. Hated that.

I saw and its false and won't stand for being called that...I hate duke and coach k looks like a Sandusky

Having a higher cap doesn't make any difference. There were teams willing to give Middleton substantial money while those other two never got that chance. It's not that complicated. Hell I would even say Tobias Harris, who has never made an All Star team is in a higher tier than those two. Size has a lot to with this, two scoring point guards vs two scoring wings

Not to mention Jameer Nelson was a backup his first 1.5 years before becoming a starter... he only began to blossom the season he got injured and his career was derailed by more injuries. The one peak year wasn't even a full season so there's no complete body of work that can put him in the discussion anyway

Williams, Nelson, Harris and Middleton are not meant to "take over games against good teams consistently in the playoffs". They aren't elite All NBA talents but there is a marked difference in the level of complimentary players they each are

Again your completely disregarding the current boom in FA Money & the Cap spike, borderline AS players make way more than they did in the past. Cap has expanded so far that most teams have two max slots. Secondly your correct in Kris Middleton/Tobias drawing more offers.... but it's not because they're in some different class, they're skill set is just much more valued than ever in todays NBA landscape. better Market value & contract signings does not = better talent or impact on a team.

As far as far as actual impact on the game nothing separates these kind of guys & they have had similar success playing next to a MVP player. Ya'll are again using recency bias and downplaying the seasons guys like Williams or Nelson had. These are every guys cumulative stats from their 4th to 8th years (happened to be where all three "broke out"

While the league definitely values Length & wings more than ever in this current era, We have to acknowledge the changes that have occurred in the game. And we also have to realize that in their specific era these kind of guards provided the same value as some of these wings do now.

In Todays Era maybe a Jameer or Mo wouldn't be as successful, but they were very valuable for good teams at their peak.

so who's trolling who now go back to your laker circle jerk and get my shine box I got your crap on my Ballys stay fly crazy batman
