Lakers gonna have a hard time with teams like Houston and clippers.

Not being able to hold leads and going against teams that can shoot 3s at a high clip, recipe for disaster.

This is who’s supposed to win the chip?

They playing pee pee teams every night and still struggling. These ain't blowouts. They hard fought against nobodies most nights. They not playing the sun's and pelicans in the playoffs.

Oh. The we can’t beat teams over 500 narrative again

i'm not putting too much stock into the Lakers blowing late leads against teams they are clearly better than, especially considering this probably isn't our final roster & we're still improving as a team.

another W down

What happened to the heat? They suddenly can't score. Back to back games with scores in the 80s.

Highly upsetting considering I have three heat players on my fantasy squad lol

1) The only other elite team with a harder SOS thus far is the Clippers & we're literally tied
2) We have the third best point differential in the league

being up 20 most of the game and the game ending at winning by 7-8 isn't "struggling" at all

It's struggling to hold a lead. It's not? It not like the stars sit and the bench gives it away. Bron and AD be on the court the whole time lol. They give a lead back to Milwaukee, clips or even Houston, they probs take the L.

And clippers beat Lakers twice...so if they still happen to finish with the same record...nah. clippers ahead lol.

Not a fan of Bron and AD having to log this many minutes recently because the bench blows.

The way I see it, is if you're a contender you're basically playing in a 5 team league.

The teams you play outside of that league you just gotta win and hopefully don't get hurt. (Having to play your best guys extended minutes against non playoff teams could be an issue though) You can't really take away much from games against teams that just don't matter.

Meh, whether you win by 1 or 100 a win is a win. It's not like the pelicans or the suns are going to be in their way for a chip.

Just get the win
While true...if you win by 1 against the sun's or pels....bruh...hands getting put all over you by clippers and rockets and possibly bucks if ain't dead by then.

There were definitely PLENTY in here that said the Lakers gave up too much.
How quick they forget

It wasn’t expected that the Lakers were to be playing as good as we are. Everyone clowned the acquisitions such as Dwight, Quin Cook and even Danny Green because we missed out on other free agents while waiting on Kawhi to sign. After Kawhi went to the Clippers with PG, folks kinda tossed them the chip. Basically the expectation was that the Clippers would be in our position, dominating everyone with the lockdown defense and all that and we were somewhat overlooked.

I wasn't being facetious, I legit was asking.

Saying the Lakers LOST that trade SEEMS like a wild thing to say now, then, next year lol

Nah, how you play against the pelicans on a random Friday night isn't / shouldn't be the same way you play against a tier 1 team come playoff time. Winning in the NBA is hard. 82 games is a lot. You bound to slip up, have off nights, bad teams gon have good shooting nights, etc.

in the grand scheme of things it's hard to take away too much from games like the pelicans or the suns. You probably would like for AD and Bron to play less in those games but other than that? Nah
