Yall lower the bar more than limbo I swear . Anytime you try to boost up a player that hasn't won: winning is overrated. Actually, the first round was the real finals that year. He almost won 25 games that's close enough. Lawwwwwwlz

every day we gotta hear about these guys people throw in the GOAT conversations and how they had to play the mighty mighty Warriors... i haven't heard none of those excuses for all the Players who had to go through Mike & the Bulls in their primes.

Melo gets called a perennial loser on here all the time & literally got knocked out the playoffs every year of his career by Kobe/Duncan/Lebron.

but now it's a bunch of participation trophies year in year out for these newer athletes. FOH

He made out of the first round twice. He missed the playoffs from age 29-32.

He’s a winner?

All we heard about the Rockets last season was "if only they had CP0" they would've beaten GS. Never mind they were up double digits of both G6 and G7 and had a historically choking performance in G7 at home. Fast forward to this past May, get their chance at redemption. The best player on the planet goes out for GS in a tie game where they have a chance to seize control of the game and series. Nope Harden and MDA blow that one. G6 comes up, surely they'll win at home to force a decisive game 7. Steph has the worst half of basketball of his entire playoff career and the Rockets still can't pull away and proceed to get sent home AGAIN on their home floor with a fully healthy CP0.

Enough of the damn excuses. As the great Maya Angelou said when somebody shows you who they are, believe them. MDA has showed us regardless of advantageous or disadvantageous situations he's not adjusting and will find a way to blow that cash. Same for James Harden.

The point was he was eliminated by all time players/ teams yearly but nobody cares.

but when Bron was getting curb stomped by the warriors it was... well he was supposed to lose.
Harden been turnt yellow in the playoffs before the KD rendition of the Warriors... but once he started facing those squads it was... well he's facing the warriors he wasn't supposed to win

Ya'll pick & choose when ya'll want to give these passes out.

and all they say about those guys is how they couldn't get things done, nobody is here giving them partial credit championships because they pushed series to 6 games. they just call em great players who couldn't win

None of the extra gymnastics that get thrown around for some of these newer players.

Oh you champion dudes that can’t get out the first round: Westbrook and Melo.

I see you

Yeah, literally every year of his career besides when he lost to the Timberwolves. And the Clippers. And the Jazz. And the Celtics. And the same Pacers team that you're saying had a lack of talent.

This generation of players is dam soft. The 80s and 90s NBA plus Kobe, KG, AI, and Timmy D would blow the new generation out into deep space

Wait for mean reversion honestly, 10 shots isn't enough to guage anything. I also dont think he's going to be shooting it so often that it matters a ton

But
You get less leeway when you’re doing something like shooting one-legged 3’s. If he shoots regular 3’s at a ~38% clips but is shooting 15% on one-legged 3’s how many attempts do you give before you say enough

Harden ain't the new Mailman imho. Gotta get to the Finals first plus Mailman isn't Mailman if not for Stockton. Harden never had a true running mate his entire career like Karl did.

Harden more like the new age T-Mac. Supremely talented one on one scorer, one of the best scorers of his era, extremely creative on offense, but career full of second round defeats because he never had a bonafide championship level type running mate and just wasn't as great as the Kobes, Lebrons, and Wade's of the world.

Not me. I always say Melo and Cp3 and kg were victims of the west. That said. Harden and MDA had more success in the west than those guys.

MDA rockets are the Jazz of this era. That’s all I’m saying.

Career full of second round defeats?

must be two T Macs

This is just a lie

Usually the 2nd or 3rd thing people say about Stockton, Malone,Chuck,GP, is that they would have won if Jordan was out the league. Even Hakeem getsdiscredited for winning when MJ quit on his team, fanbase, and entire NBA.

He's not T-Mac, who never got out of the 1st rd and was never truly a MVP caliber player. Slightly better. He's a manifestation of these nerds who celebrate everything but actually winning there ultimate prize in the sport. If your TS% is over 60% you've 'broken the game' and are the greatest offensive force the game has ever seen; even though those gimmicks never pay dividends when it really counts.
