This man would beg to differ with Wardell

As evidenced by the long list of Robin-type teammates Wade played Superman to en route to Finals runs outside of that Heatles team.

No literally Wade was the catalyst for him coming to Miami in the first place and then after Bron's debacle against Dallas in 2011 was the one who put the battery in his back.

FVV defended Steph as best as you possibly could. Steph averaged 30 on 60% TS and he got “locked up”

Kawhi averaged 28 on 61% TS and its crickets.

🤔

Kawhi’s team won and he was the primary reason why. Why would anyone say anything negative about his performance?

I understand what you’re saying about Steph, but Kawhi in the same series isn’t the right comparison.

Remember, Iggy “locked up” LeBron in the 2015 finals to the tune of Lebby averaging 36, 13 and 9. Standard is just different for the winning team

Nver been a fan of dnny mitchell....

According to a report in The Athletic, Donovan Mitchell reportedly is "reluctant" to fix his relationship with Rudy Gobert.

Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix reported last month that Mitchell was "extremely frustrated" with Gobert following the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic that suspended the season. Then, during a video call with “Good Morning America,” Micthell made it clear he was "not happy about the part Gobert played in the entire saga." Per Friday's report in The Athletic, "the Jazz have already begun working on the Mitchell-Gobert relationship, but sources say Mitchell remains reluctant to fix what might have been broken. 'It doesn’t appear salvageable,' one source with knowledge of the situation said. There is hope that the relationship will improve over time, and the fact that there could potentially be a lot of time to sort things out could work in Utah’s favor."

41% from the field, 34% from 3 but 95% from the FT line somehow gets to 60% TS. We should throw that stat out.

He shot 40% total the last 3 games of the series including 29% from 3 point range.

34% from the field and 30% when somebody is guarding you is not good.

No one should say anything about Kawhi. He did his job. He could win shooting 43% from the field because his team was healthy.
Steph shoots 41% and he got clamped.

I’m honestly with you. The best player on the team that loses in the Finals often gets unfair blame, even when his team isn’t healthy or the team that wins is just clearly better. It’s silly, but just how the 24/7, hot take news cycle works.

What exactly is Mitchell mad about?

Y'all killed Bean for shooting 41% and 33% from 3against a historic defensively great Celtics with 2 of his starters out as well. But now all the excuses. Brazy how that works.

^^^ Relatedly, Kawhi set himself up for a new level of criticism with the title run last season. He’s going to get to a lot more heat now from the media if his teams don’t deliver in the playoffs.
