No I'm going to go ahead and let the basketball discussion continue.
I'm in here enough to know what I'm forming my opinion on and honestly I wish you just left this where it ended since there was pages of legitimate basketball discussion happening since, you being someone that has complained about the thread going off-topic.
Wise, not looking up the last time I jumped in. Very wise.

Your mind is playing tricks on you, and it's a good call sticking with your mind's eye instead of actually looking it up. Stubborn, but wise.

"EYE am letting basketball discussion take place."

Yeah, right now. 😂

I'm'a let you play yourself, though.

Copied for future responses to... you:

That is going to prove to be a very useful receipt, methinks. Thanks for being so kind as to go ahead and print it up yourself.

I think most of us when everybody was healthy thought KD was the most talented guy. Mastered the game on offense and was a good defender. That's what Bean was the tail end of 2000s. Giannis is what Bron was (more holes on offense but Freak is a better defender).

No  hes just more physically imposing. AD (and even Embiid) are more talented

I do agree with the 08-10 Bron comp.
AD isn't the bucket getter Giannis is though. Strictly talking handles and getting to the cup in an iso

Embiid has a case

We may have different criteria for most talented though

Offense matters more. You can pretend it doesn't though.
Mike _'Antoni agrees.

I didn't pretend it doesn't matter more.

But it doesn't.

What percentage of championships have been won by the top scoring team in the league?

I said from the beginning Durant is better offensively, and Scottie is better everythingelse-ively. It's a reason he flourished with a team that had GREAT defensive presence to go with their stellar offense.

The young Shaq comparison for Freak is pretty on point, there's not much you can do to slow that train down once it's chugging along :sick:

His ceiling is what's scary cause he's putting up video game numbers without a consistent jumper, it's gonna a wrap if ever he develops one tbh

I mean Giannis is a bucket getter in the paint lol AD might not be as efficient inside as Giannis but he can score more efficiently when you encompass all 3 other levels (mid, 3, FT). Having a better handle is also talent. Giannis needs momentum downhill. AD and Embiid definitely don’t

Backtrack for a second.

In this case, KD vs. Pippen, I feel like one is in the BEST supporting Role division while one is the nomination for Best Leading Role .

Can we agree with this before we move on?

Giannis is more physically imposing than talented lol
For me, at some point athleticism/physicality has to meet coordination and at least a certain degree of skill to harness that. To me that's talent. Giannis has a pretty good handle and can do stuff off the bounce. His footwork is also exceptional which to me is talent

It's a shame that none of us are even going to know each other when the 'Durant was overrated' conversations take place.

And they will.

People are even turning on Jordan now. The further you get away from your peak celebrity status, the less great you become in retrospect.

Now why would he volunteer to put himself through that?

Definitely see CP being more on the ring chasing vet side to end his career than the VC mentor role on average-struggling teams type unless he ends up in a perfect storm situation like late stage J-Kidd

What am I going to look up? One post that doesn't make it look like you're caping for him and fighting his battles for him like he's a child? :lol It's not going to change anything.

Your obsession with this whole matter getting super odd man. And you're picking specific posters to go after about it, being what you criticize. Go ahead and quote me next time I give Buc **** for saying something dumb, what kind of threat is that? :lol
I NEVER bring an argument or back and forth back after multiple pages of actual basketball talk/it not being addressed (since you're in the mood for post searching be my guest and confirm that), and that's what I was calling you out for and talking about, but go ahead and spin it to your liking and quote it out of context next time I give him **** for being a jackass if it makes you feel better for I couldn't guess what reason.
You've given really new and refreshing points about all of this over the past couple months so your input has been really appreciated

How do y’all feel about Isiah Thomas not having any facial hair? Does he get a pass? Is that part of the reason for the hate?

he’s from the Westside of Chicago. He only got into basketball for the free snacks after games. He gets a pass.

but zeke been the villain for almost 40 years now. I respect that. I won’t comment on the sexual assault case cause I don’t know enough about the situation. But he’s a basketball gangster. He wasn’t supposed to win the titles he won in the 80s.

Thing is no contender is going to be able to eat that contract it's a 1/4 of the cap.

Totally. It doesn't sound like you're framing that as a knock, so to that end, I agree.

A detriment to any claim of his ability to be the main guy was his time in Houston and Portland, which wasn't that spectacular at all. But a support for the argument that he could have been better than just a role player was Jordan's time on the baseball diamond. Pippen literally lead the team in every single category. And then when Jordan came back, Pippen still lead the team in every single category except points, where he obviously took 2nd.
