It's the main thing that stopped Don Riley from going after him hard like he wanted to before and right after he got banished to OKC. Would definitely be an obstacle in the way of getting to a contender

Right, I am not calling Pippen a role player by any stretch. I don't subscribe to #NTEXTREMES Weekly.
Pippen is one of the best B+ players in NBA History.
But KD isn't in that class.
So that is why I don't even think it is a wortht debate between those two.

In this case, KD vs. Pippen, I feel like one is in the BEST supporting Role division while one is the nomination for Best Leading Role .
Can we agree with this before we move on?
This is important. In my opinion, the difference between being an NBA Batman and and NBA Robin is pretty significant.

Calling Pippen "Robin" is disrespectful. He is more like WOlverine or something. He is at his best working in a unit but he damn near doesn't NEED someone else to lean on.

Nah he's a Robin. Probably the best one ever. He was close to dispelling that moniker in 94 and 2000 though.

Pip is more like the Batman to Mike's Clark Kent. Rodman is obviously Wonder Woman. Kukoc can be the Flash. Kerr is Green Arrow.

Robin saved Batman's *** plenty of times in the comics. He was never the guy. Unless you're counting Nightwing. Pip was a elite #2 that's not a slight just facts.

Man I am not into comics, so the only Robin I think of is the skinny version from the Pop/Bam/Pow version of Batman from the 60s/70s.
