So he needs to basically get Jordan's permission to give his (correct) opinion on Jordan sucking at his job?
Jordan has **** all over everybody without "permission" his entire life.
That’s not what I was saying.
My point is that, if I was really close to someone, to the point of being like brothers, I’d want to hear them tell me directly they didn’t like how I was handling my business before hearing it from other sources. It would annoy me to hear it from the media first. So, I get why Mike was pissed - but also I said I didn’t think it warranted him completely dropping Chuck as a friend.
Also, saying he “surrounds himself with too many yes-men and kiss-asses” is a little beyond and more personal than Barkley just saying he was doing a bad job running the team.
Yes, as an analyst, Barkley can give his opinion on whatever he wants, how he wants. But if he’s going to say negative things about a close friend without a heads up, he shouldn’t act surprised that it impacted the friendship.
