Almost 20 years ago is an entirely different world. Even so, were the NT demo upset at this?

you can enjoy rap and acknowledge the effect that especially Post-Keef rap has on folks. And maybe even moreso the aftermath of Keef. Kids in west bubble**** Talking about “opps” and “savages” lol

Although I’m mostly bumping 2000’s and early 2010’s **** or Ross, OutKast, Dom, pre Kardashian Kanye, 2000’s Wayne or Currensy, etc….

not gonna act like I never bump
**** like EST Gee or Lil Baby or some of the street local rappers round my way but that means I can’t acknowledge that I’ve seen ****** crash out or almost crash out from dumb *** mindsets they got from rap music? I’m not talking about the kid in the hood born into the ****ed up circumstances he’s born into I’m talking about dudes that ain’t “have” to take certain routes  or even how it’s turned a lot of women to City Girl Meg type ethos as an “answer” to the **** Future and whatnot be on.

we can enjoy rap music and also question why it has promoted what it’s promoted to our community for 30+ years going all the way back to **** like Jimmy Iovine and Death Row (as opposed to the Public Enemy type **** that preceded it).

Country/Rock has waned in popularity because white kids get those same feelings from Gangsta rap. Narcoriddims or whatever y’all put me on to that last time I had this convo, I guess that’s a thing but that’s not the same as the worldwide influence rap music has.

You hate rap Bruh. Just admit it. Stop listening to rap then. You always concerned about white kids in “WEST BUBBA F****” listening to rap. So WHAT?!?? Why does it bother you so much??? You think the Taliban or Dylan Roof listen to rap???

You always say this stuff and want to blame rap on societies ills. It’s MILLIONSSSSSS of people who hate and don’t consume rap but still will blow your head off.

“rap has done this and that within the past 30 years. It’s caused little billy to shoot his pediatrician” dawg. You kill me Bruh.

this man just sat here and said country music has waned in popularity with white kids. How do you know this.... AND WHY ARE YOU SO CONCERNED ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE listening to rap music??? It’s like a fetish of yours. You do this same thing in the hip hop thread.

Alcohol has killed more people than hip hop. Alcohol incites more violence than hip hop. People still gone do it. Stop blaming rap for people being people.

Show me a rapper who invented guns. Guns been here well before rap.

You act like Billy the kid was in dodge city in 1870 pulling kick doors because of rap. Give it a rest.

listen to scarface please

there was one of these (to maybe lesser degrees) at everybody’s high school. Rap music itself and most of the victims of what goes on in its subject matter is a result of socioeconomic factors but the environment it created thru it’s ethos results in things like this  along with other **** that’s detrimental to ****** overall like Akademiks/WSHH

you’s a self hating dude bro. Again, it’s like you get a hard on for these white kids who consume rap. You have a legit problem.

WEALTHY PEOPLE are some of the biggest criminals and purveyors of drug use, and are just as violent as people from the “ghetto” what part don’t you understand??

Who do you think has/loves guns more or, consumes more drugs? Wealthy people or poor people.

Grimey going off. Thread gonna be entertaining today

He does the same thing in the rap thread bro.

He blames rap for these white suburban kids or any kid, of any race from a good home going against what he perceives as a great home environment. It’s a tired excuse bruh.

It’s like he wants to save these frat boys from being who they always been. It has nothing to do with rap.

He posted an old white man lip syncing rap and some white kid who joined the crips. He acts so sheltered and rap is to blame for all problems

But think about how much controversy janet caused in a supposedly more open and non “PC” era.... but now we are constantly bombarded with sexual imagery. Equal if not more than stuff like Janet, but America wants to play taboo and shy in regards to anything sexual.

you literally can go on FB, IG and twitter right now and find a million women doing Janet Jackson type stuff, yet or society is so PC now.

Partially my point. Wild though you got these conservative moms acting all stuffy and complaining all the time but did a line to start the day and got 6 clitoris rings.

I don’t want to hear **** from those idiot parents. They watch Fox News and think Trump secretly is still president. Really, look it up. White people are good at blaming outside forces as the cause to all their self inflicted problems. Piss off and take ownership

Kinda wild how cheerleaders are even still a thing.

Fun Fact:

Cheerleading was once a "Men only" thing...

How did it begin?
Cheerleading originated in the USA. In the 1880s at Princeton University, Thomas Peebles together with other students supported a local American football team with cheers. In 1884, he moved to the University of Minnesota, where he quickly popularised the idea of cheering on football players. On 2 November 1898, standing in front of a crowd of sport fans, Johnny Campbell, a medical student, started conducting the cheer on the spur of the moment. He was so effective that the team won and he made history as the first cheerleader. And thus the current sport discipline was born. Subsequent years saw the growth of cheerleading not only at universities, but also in secondary education circles. Cheering groups were equipped with flags, drums, megaphones and other props meant to create an atmosphere of excitement during sporting events.

Cheerleading not only for men!
Although it might be hard to believe today, at first cheerleading was mainly performed by men. It was not until World War II that women dominated this activity. Since then, nearly 90 per cent of competitors have been girls. The discipline thrived, to the point where the National Cheerleaders Association was established in the USA only a few years after the war. The founder, Laurence “Herkie” Hurkimer, greatly contributed towards development of new skills and advanced techniques in cheerleading, as well as growth of its popularity.

The President was a cheerleader, too!
Cheerleading is so important and popular a sport in the USA that even famous Americans had careers in it. In the 1960s, future US president George Bush played trumpet as the head cheerleader at the Phillips Academy in Massachusetts. And he was not the only president of the United States with such a past. Ronald Reagan supported his fellow students at Eureka College, Dwight Eisenhower focused on cheering after he quit playing American football, and Franklin D. Roosevelt was a Harvard cheerleader in the early 20th century, back when the sport did not enjoy as great popularity as now. Celebrities whose careers started with cheerleading include Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Madonna, Cameron Diaz and Eva Longoria.

That being said - I doubt the present day outfits would work for men.

Wasn't till the late 1960's - 1970's that cheerleading became "sexy"...

White black green I’ve seen real life examples of ****** (who didn’t really “need” to) thinking it was no big deal to kick doors or sell drugs because rap music made it look and sound easy :lol and end up ******* they self up.

It’s just wild to act like rap or music in general has NO influence on ****** mindsets or the **** u think is cool as a jit. Obviously there’s environmental factors and **** that was done to us going back to slavery but that don’t counteract what effect rap does have

As usual you’re going all over the place tho get ur **** off :lol

This is dumb because you can say that about any form of entertainment really.
How many people blame video games, movies, heavy metal, etc. for people doing stupid things? You singling out rap is lazy af

It’s not up to the entertainment industry to raise your kids.

I remember doing an "experiment" in my car where I'd watch my speed in relation to what music was playing.

vs

Amazing the difference.

Music is powerful!

Rap is different in that it revolves around the idea that ****** live what they rap/it’s autobiographical which as adults we know is bs in most cases but kids don’t

Again, you fetishize these lil white boys who listen to rap music. Clearly. You want to blame rap for stuff that’s been happening before rap. “Gangster” rap ain’t become a thing until the late 80s. I’ll say 1988.

Guns were here before rap.
Drugs were here before rap.
Alcohol was here before rap.
Poverty was here before rap
Materialism was here before rap.

You want to blame stuff on rap that’s been going on thousands of years before rap even became a thing. That’s STUPID.

If you’re WEALTHY and stupid enough to pull kick doors. That ain’t raps fault. That’s just a dumbass being a DUMBASS.

Again, guns, drugs and alcohol were prevalent before rap. Explain their impact on society for me, please.

People loveeeee their guns, alcohol and drugs. Which are way more detrimental than rap music.
