Thread about Jesus - Questions, Bible Verses and Prayer Requests

Every single person in here knows that they aren't going to change another man's mind on what he chooses to beleive in, ESPECIALLY doing it the way they are in this thread.

So, everyone in here is basically out for blood. It's a shame to say the least.
It's actually possible to change someone's mind if the evidence is convincing enough. You think I started out as an atheist? I went to church all throughout my childhood. It's just hard when one side covers their ears and goes "LALALALALA!" whenever someone asks them a question they don't want to answer.

Mao I guess when they said dinosaurs are 6k years old that's an aggressive shot towards people who think otherwise? :lol

You soft bruh

If that statement hit you right in the feels, well you know.
Wait, you're the one talking about being disrespected, when the only thing being thrown at you is tough questions.

If tough questions and contradictions hit you right in the feels, well... ...

... ... you know.

WhatcanIshow just sit down child.

Thread started off with OP bashing the beliefs of others

"I see that Niketalk (and most of the internet) is filled with Athiesm and other false doctrines, and this is a perfect to spread the word of God."

Now you in here all in your feelings because ppl don't believe what you believe & point out the clear as day fallacies within your beliefs.

Comical.

This has definitely run its course.
this the mocking has gotten outta control

People gotta learn to respect each others beliefs, regardless if they differ
You can't change a way a person was raised. That has to be done from day 1.
This thread has gone from positive to poison.
No it doesn't.  All it takes is to analyze things from a perspective outside of your own little bubble of ignorance.

I know...crazy concept, right?

If someone was to say:

This is how Noah could of happened. This is how you can literally fit all those animals in the boat. This is where the water come up to with proof. This is how the animals survived without food.

It'll change my mind

If you can't and it hurts your feels, then.... Well...... You know....

At this point you are playing the hypocrites

I still stand firm

the word of God is the only Truth

in this world and it transcends

death.

I haven't given up

This thread isn't about us NTers, though, so it doesn't matter if you've given up on us or not.

Questions are being asked, and are going unanswered, and the thread is about answers (or at least, the title suggests that the thread was intended for answers).

But the way it has gone (roughly) has been this:

believers: "God! Come ask questions, folks. :) "

critics: "Explain dinosaurs. Christians say dinosaurs didn't exist."

believers: "They did! We existed WITH dinosaurs."

critics: "What about the racist history of religion?"
believers: "We all used to be one race! Everyone was white, but, for example, black people were made black by the hot, African sun."

critics: "What about prayer? How does that work? God hears all of them, but only chooses to act on a few?"

believers: "Prayer worked for me a few times, so yes, it works. I know that hits you right in them feels."

critics: "What about the people it didn't work for?"

believers: "I don't have all the answers. Idunno, man."

critics: "What about wars & murders done in the name of a god?"

believers: "It's pathetic how disrespectful you're being."

Thought this was "Honest answers for all"?

I have plenty more questions for any believer who truly wishes to engage in intelligent dialogue, attempting to actually answer the actual question and not bail out by claiming disrespect when a tough question is thrown at you.

I could have worded the title

a bit better, but as it is my first

time doing this on NT I've learned

the dos and donts.
I'll be shrewd as a snake, but innocent as a dove.
Many of these posters don't honestly

want the answers I give or anyone

else gives.

They just want me to answer so

they can continue to mock and

praise their disbelief.

I have to be wise in the sense that

unfruitful questions won't go anywhere

So I am not answering.

Even if I were to answer all the

questions posted in this thread

it will do you no good, but harm.

Thats why I leave it as an

invitation to know God

personally.

All Christians are in different areas

in their walk with Christ

so we won't all have

the same answers.

I'm straight to the point

It turns many off

but I won't compromise

the Word of God to

befriend the world.

I'm sorry you had a misrepresented

experience of Christianity, but

I tell you the truth.

Its not about me or any other Christian

convincing you of the faith.

God is the end time convincer

of faith, and once you experience

him in you, you can't turn back.

Here's a question,

At what point do you use logic and at what point do you chalk it up to god?
God already has a set path

for everyone.

Of course we as humans

want to find our own answers

but that just leads to regressive

productivity.

He knows you and how you think,

so he molds the path you take so

that you'll always have an opportunity

no matter how big or small the mistake

you've made is.

You come to a point in life

where you just say,

no matter what Lord

I trust you.

I use logic and reason in my everyday life until a question is posed that I don't have the answer to. Then I chalk it up to jesus or ask some pastor to tell me what I should think or show me the bibles answer. I'm not willing to do my own work and research to find the answer I'm looking for the person who indoctrinated me to show me the answer in the bible and I won't except it from anywhere else.

Why is it that we can't find the grave sites of Peter Paul Mark Matthew Luke or John but we can find corpses of people who preceded them by over a thousand years?

You made a general statement about us agnostic/atheists.

You sound silly.

OP what's Jesus and the disciple Jon's real name. I ask because the letter J didn't exist when the bible was written

What do the scriptures before and after this one say?
2 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. 3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. 5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. 7 Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
