Generally speaking, men are superior physically and will almost always trump a woman at said physical sport: basketball, football, boxing etc especially a team setting (all guys vs all girls 5 on 5 full court for example).
Individually, a woman if skilled enough can sure play with the boys. Can Ronda Rousey give a dude work in the ring? Sure. But thats a one off case.
Some sports like soccer, still gonna give the huge advantage to a mens squad but not a big a gap as say football or basketball.
