IMO, let LO walk. He doesn't show up half the time for games, and he's getting older. You've already invested so much in Bynum, and he's basically un tradeable at this point, so, make him earn his keep. A Bynum (if he gets back on track) and a Gasol front court is enough to get it done.
Odom is insurance for an injury to either Bynum or Gasol. Odom can bring the ball up court under pressure (just don't ask him to check theball in). Odom is probably second to Walton in getting Bynum and Gasol the ball. Odom can also play the 3 so if Bynum does earn his keep, the Lakers moveOdom to the 3 as a starter or they bring him off the bench because Bynum's defensive presence (again, if he earns his keep) off sets Walton's lack ofpresence.
But some are acting as if they could've locked up both Ariza and Odom this offseason.
Well, if the Lakers are going to chase Artest with the MLE after signing Odom, couldn't they have signed both Odom and Ariza? Yes.
As Of Now. Im hearing that if Ariza Leaves, we're tryna replace him with either Artest, Prince, im even hearing STAT and Zach Randolph (which would have him being trading twice in one week like Q-Rich).
Where are you "hearing" this from? Who are they trading to get Prince, Stat, or Randolph?
This dude Ariza was more of a factor in shutting down Hedo, Orlando's biggest playmaker and big shot artist
Hedo had his best shooting (FG% and 3P%) and scoring round of the playoffs in the Finals.
^false. odom stated that he would take an paycut to maintain this core.
Odom has no choice but to take a pay cut. We'll see how much of a cut he's actually taken soon enough.
