Captivate update isn't working for the majority that is rooted. Also a person with completely stock phone bricked his phone updating it. Some ppl contacted Samsung support and said the OTA update wasn't official. I don't know what to think about that when the update was available.

if the update comes thru and then brick a completely stock phone?.....
go figure...
right now my gps is like 4-6 blocks off my location....lol
so does being rooted make it incompatible for the samsung updates?
Also, one more question...
does anyone have a spot to get ROMS for the nesoid? (been looking for metroid, excitebike and a few others)

There are some that are rooted and able to get the update and there are some that can't. I'm rooted and I can't get it to update successfully. *sigh Well the Captivate is a new phone so I'm not surprised there are issues.
